My impression was more like he forgot how the intro to Happy was. At first I thought, the open D tuning was not there and he had to fiddle out how to play Happy in standart tuning - but that was not the case, I believe...

In the Happy video, Keith just "forgot how it went", as he said. Trying to speak Spanish probably through him off.

He said in the past that sometimes he forgets how Brown Sugar starts off, too.

Too many songs. Too many years. Too many beers (or, whatever else kills brain cells). And then, having to say, "Feliz Cumpleanos"! lol

He was nervous for a few reasons. His platonic friend was in the front row, the friend he calls "Sister". Also, he seldom uses that guitar, does he?
