Is there any better TV documentation on the Stones than "Let it bleed" by Dolezal/Rossacher on "arte" in 2003? I watched it several times and I think it's fantastic ...

They´re no better documentations than the one´s on ARTE anyway. ARTE rules in that case + DoRo (Dolezal & Rossascher) are major Stones (and music fans in general) fans. They already did a Stones documentary in 1982 and this one is a killer, too. All the hyped VH-1 and MTV crap is nothing in comparison to the stuff DoRo do.

Version I watched on ARTE in July 2002 was 3 hours - not four

Nonetheless, easily the best Stones documentary I've ever seen. Great footage and priceless interviews (Keith Altham is hilarious). The opening montage of "Jumpin Jack Flash" is breathtaking

There is an original English version of it (which wasnt broadcast) in circulation.,..if anyone has a copy of it on DVD, please mail me..I'd love to get it as some of the French version I have has voice-overs on some of the interviews
