The oddity is that they've dropped to 18 songs - that's a first.

In Budva, Belgrade, Bucharest and Budapest 2007 they dropped to 18 songs. Probably due to the heat wave at the time.

Shanghai, Halifax and Soldier Field Chicago 2006, also 18 songs.
Quebec 2015, 18 songs.

I really miss one obscure song in the show, only one.

Remember 1981 when they did Time is on my side? Or 2012 when they did Lady Jane?

Magic.

No 'classic' setlist moaning here, but moaning anyway.

Not moaning, but dreaming smiling smiley

They could do Back Street Girl while they're at it, imo.

I stand corrected. I thought I remembered posts about an 18 song setlist - but figured I was thinking about a theatre gig or two. I wasn't thrilled with A Bigger Bang and kind of checked out of that tour - at least the stadium shows by 2006.

In Soldier Field in 2006 it must have been due to the very cold weather.

Never even being a moaner, but: can´t Keith get those opening chords of SMU, these three important licks just for one time right.
And as I said again and again: This overacting announcement shouting of (Matt Clifford ??) or whom ever is still totally embarrassing.
He is just not the right voice/man for it.
A Stones show needs a cool, self-conscious, dominating announcer.
A true Stones-announcer.
Bill Graham was.
Sam Cuttler was.
Please replace this one Mick and change it to the League of the Past.

Belgrade was 19 songs (I was there). Yup, it was super hot during the day, but very pleasant in the evening during the gig.

Thank you for posting these video, everwest1.

I love this SMU video, reminds me my first Stones show in Tokyo 1990.smiling smiley
And found that Uruguay fans had to wait 26 years more than Japanese.
This must be a historical night for them.smileys with beer

I loved 'Wild Horses' last night- Keith singing backup, so sweet sounding.
Mick grabbing Ronnie's cig: looked like he was gonna take a drag, so I thought wait, is that a joint? Naw, he tossed it.
Seeing the video screens while periscopin' makes it, well, focking GREAT, as it brings me into the show more. Being such a visual gal ;-)

+1 on the kudos to Latvianinexile for the fabulous stage shots thumbs up

I like the before show shots very much, too. Cool to see the fans and bootleg merch.

Looks like Charlie's working on cultivating a Ronnie rooster hairdo here!

Interesting, slower (so better) than usual
almost 4:40 where I think usually they clock under 4 min with that

I'm wondering, if they really do record a new LP and release it, to what element of relevance will it be on any shows when as it is they hardly do anything post-1981 as it is?

They did a whopping THREE post-1981 songs at yesterday's show - only because Keith did his two STEEL WHEELS songs.

Start Me Up 1981
It's Only Rock 'N' Roll 1974
Tumbling Dice 1972
Out Of Control 1997
She's So Cold 1980
Wild Horses 1971
Paint It Black 1966
Honky Tonk Women 1969
Slipping Away (Keith) 1989
Can't Be Seen (Keith) 1989
Midnight Rambler 1969
Miss You 1978
Gimme Shelter 1969
Brown Sugar 1971
Sympathy For The Devil 1968
Jumpin' Jack Flash 1968
You Can't Always Get What You Want 1969
(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction 1965

They took quite a few songs slower than usual - I noticed it on Brown Sugar too - and I think it adds to the quality and power.

Many thanks for Latvian's great stage pics, and for the pre-show ones from Irix, which I missed last night because of the technical glitch. I really want one of these:
