The Stones have dropped 3-5 songs throughout a tour as long as I've been seeing them, starting in 1981. Since Bridges to Babylon, tours have started with 22 to 23 songs and ended with 19 or 20. The only exception is No Security which started with and ended with 21.
The oddity is that they've dropped to 18 songs - that's a first. There's speculation that the minutes the audience cheering was adding to the Buenos Aires concerts was cutting it close to the curfew, so the third song was dropped. Or it could be they decided the third song wasn't working with the South American audiences and the show flows better going straight into Tumbling Dice. Or maybe they just want to get back to the hotel and into their jammies five minutes earlier.

I've watched virtually every show last summer and all of them on this tour so far. It is great to see IORR 'come to life' to virtually follow a show in real time.

Pretty intense show… But more relaxed than in La Plata…. It seemed Rambler was shorter… Crowd was not pushing so much, from where I stood – Olimpica Anillo 1, best seat in the house, albeit a bit far, no seated number -–cool crowd, even some manage to crack up some personal fireworks during JJF in general admission, like in La Plata, which is pretty silly.
She’s so cold was refreshing (pun no really intended)….
Wild horse was a blessing…
Slipping away tends to get more and more one of my favourite numbers
I’m still not a fan of Out of Control, at least Darryl’s part, but they double the beat with the harmonica then they dig it good and it sounds like a Rambler encore (but you know that)
They still have to balance the Stones signature – two fronting guitars – with a crowd demanding its part of dancing and singing along – hence Out of Control, and Miss You, well it’s part of the territory
As for Mick speaking in Spanish, he said something about Charlie being in a bar yesterday, having two of this (whatever it is), then other more powerful drink (unless I was completely mistaken)
Never seen so much of un-licensed merchandising… Including matches and clocks
Getting the ticket at 2 PM was quite bad… Queuing one hour at 40° C…. Bring water, dears… No shadow and no shades
