Donald T. is at war with the Rolling Stones and it will probably end in court. Trump’s «get back at you» attitude is like him saying «‘I’m bigger than the Rolling Stones, I can take them on». Revenge is a dish best served cold. I’m sure Keith and the boys will act quickly on this one…

If the Stones make a big deal about it, they can isolate some of their own fans. Maybe they should decide which fans are allowed to come to their shows.

Thinking of the lyrics and how the top ad people in these campaigns are clever with all the psyop and subliminal tricks of the trade,
these lyrics describing a certain woman he met at a reception, and that is where he probably met her and bill more than once...she has blood on her hands!
...and at her feet was a footloose man...
...well the definition of footloose might have bill clinton's face if you look it up in the dictionary...
...it's gonna be a very dirty sh*tstorm of a media spree election, most all of politics is tabloid media show posing as news ...
...it's spy vs. spy on the sly with these two candidates...good show biz for the end of the world no matter who gets the ok to sit in the office and make things worse...
... the second verse about demonstrations, abuse, venting frustrations, blowing a fuse...
i mean someone could take anything anywhere from this for any agenda when you think about it.
If the trump ad execs (probably the highest paid specialized firms in the industry, same with Clinton squad) were duly very aware of the lyric content and hook itself, I wouldn't be surprised. ...
...but if you try sometime you get what you need...and the candidates think they are the answer to getting what you need.
They are there to fill the mandated need that they themselves manipulate and create through manufactured press relations, who are manufactured also.

none of this the songwriters targets but there are professional people paid to propagate all kinds of actions and reactions and to think not is to assume they are not so clever...
... but those speech and slogan writers know what's up bigtime.
manipulation and targeted ads are their bread and butter.

Trumps will probably just go on doing what he wants for spite and be happy to have someone tie you up in endless court.

These are just casual observations. I don't advocate an agenda or particular candidate myself from these choices, but I know they are code talking every time they release a single word.

Yesterday I read in a Norwegian newspaper about a song Woody Guthrie made on Trump's infamous father. It might be interesting if the Stones could make for instance an edit of that song and record it as a response.

Queen isn't happy that Donald Trump defied their wishes and used one of its best known songs at the Republican National Convention.

Other rock bands like the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, R.E.M. and Aerosmith have also asked Trump to stop playing their music at his rallies.

[money.cnn.com]

Many argued that former lead singer Mercury, who died in 1991 from AIDS-related complications, would not have been been a supporter of Trump.

"My guess is that Freddie Mercury would not likely have been a Trump supporter," tweeted Chris Cillizza, a political commentator for The Washington Post.

The first song played when Trump ended his speech was "All Right Now" by Free.

There was so much noise from the hall, plus TV reporters talking over it, I couldn't tell if it was the original, or a sound-alike cover.

Apart from the chorus, the words really don't seem appropriate for the occasion.

The Rolling Stones are not stupid.
They are capitalists.

Here's a simple explanation of what is happening right now in the USA:

America is a capitalist country, despite Obama and the Clintons' attempts to turn it into a socialist country. Socialism will fail here in America.

If Hillary Clinton continues the economic path that Obama has us on, there will be no more middle class in America. No more middle class means NO MORE MONEY to be spent on Rolling Stones' concert tickets.

Wake up people.

Also, it's a complete distortion to say those people who gave up looking for work are never planning to work again. As I said, many have started looking again in recent months.

Again, a positive development unless you're intentionally trying to run the country down.

It's not about copyrights, it's about licensing. There's clear factual information in the links below,

Also very much about ethics.
When someone publicly asks you not to use their property to promote something they don't support, or for whatever reason, most ethical people stop.

George Harrison's estate said it best..
"The unauthorized use of 'Here Comes the Sun' at the RNC is offensive & against the wishes of the George Harrison estate," the estate tweeted Thursday night after the Abbey Road track was broadcast. Instead, the estate offered the use of a more fitting All Things Must Pass song: "If it had been 'Beware of Darkness,' then we MAY have approved it! #TrumpYourself."

Especially after being served a cease and desist beforehand by the band. A cease and desist is like a restraining order, it has legal implications.

Well we should tell all the 500 major blue chip corporations to stop OFFSHORING all of the jobs to India (I know this for a fact because i have a friend who works for Met Life and is very unsure if she will have a job next month ,next year because Met life is offshoring everything and leaving behind a skeleton crew (management of course to turn the lights on and off )and so many other corporations are doing the same, check the job statistics for the country of India and the # do not lie .Why because heck why give the profits away to the American workforce when you can slash salaries and project bigger earnings and then the upper echelon gets big fat bonuses .

The hall where the convention took place paid their public performance licensing fees so there is nothing legally stopping them from playing Stones music.
