a bit horrific right at the beginning but straightened itself out nicely.

That song should never be done live...has nothing to it...

I seen them play it at Giants Stadium in 1997...what a disaster...

And then Mick booked them on a Fashion Show in NYC and they played it and it was beyond embarrassing.

What?

I am in deep envy at those, who now obtained to receive a live version of this song. As I always am towards songs that break the routine of the too fixed setlists. Please, keep such breaks coming, is my plea to the band.

A dream concert to me would have been to be exposed to a setlist featuring only songs outside the usual run of the mill!

A beautiful train wreck maybe.

Like others have said, the ship gets corrected after the first verse.

I love Ronnie a part, at the beginning, of the official video.

Judging a performance on Youtube from a Stones show in Argentina is like watching the neighbor having sex through a dusty window. The pleasure might be different if you are outside.

My opinion, this one and Love Is Strong are (maybe) impossible to play live. Too bad because I really like them both, LIS is my favorite post-Wyman song.

Beautiful simile, Bjornulf! And exactly the point

Check out the Fashion Awards version above. That version is both sung and played just lovely. Mick just needs to do his low-registered voice.

DP- funny you say that because after I wrote my comment I remembered that particular fact. It's the best performance I know of. Seen them play it 3 times live to memory, all were disappointing, sorry to say.

Has anybody thought of that the excact same thing happend during 2000 Light Years From Home at Glastonbury in 2013, with Jagger adjusting his monitor like a frenzy? Couldn't it be the possibility that he tries to 'blame' it at the technics to cover the fact that he hit the wrong key from the beginning and can't find back?

Yep - I think it was Dandelion Powderman who mentioned it, as it was happening

Er ... wouldn't it be simpler to accept that the technology isn't perfect and messes up sometimes?
Just like the musicians do? :E

I like the fact they dig ABSMBaby up in 2016. But it just does not work live. Never has. I saw it live in 1998 a few times. Watched the Fashion Awards version... boring. This is the Stones' Let's Work.

Even Streets Of Love is miles better live!

Gimme LOVE IS STRONG live anytime. Saw them play this in Landgraaf 1995. YEAH!!!

Mick on 2000 Light Years From Home was not as bad as this trainwreck beginning of AnybodySMB in Argentina.

I pretty much agree here.

I am all for the diversity in the set list but, "Anybody Seen My Baby" is one of the last songs at the bottom on the list of songs that I would like for them to dig out.

I would honestly rather hear "Low Down" , "Already Over Me" , "Too Tight" etc. from Bridges.

"Out of Control" is obviously the best from that album for live performance. "Saint of Me" is better in the studio despite (or because of) the live crowd sing-along. Not bad live but not to the level of "Out of Control".

Back to "Anybody Seen My Baby" .... maybe 1 more time somewhere else in South America (because it apparently is popular there) and then I strongly feel that should be it for this particular song.

If the Stones were to notice reactions like some of these, I guess they will think: Let us instead keep to the wellknown songs then.

In other words, no devations from a stable warhorse diet.

You can't judge from YouTune, but seems like Mick's voice is not for this song.
He is too high up and then it sounds strange.

I think the reactions in the crowd (enthusiasm all over) are more important to them than
what the Waldorfs and Statlers are posting here.

And, hell yeah! Encourage them to leave the Straight and Narrow any time they want!

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

I hope they keep it in the setlist, and that Mick loosens up a bit and will sing it more like the studio version.

its cool they way the rap /spoken part is specific to the area ..

clearly ASMB is a big crowd favorite in SA

ASMB is a weak song imo. is ok on the cd though, with lot of fillings etc..

I think it's a fantastic song and I like the Buenos Aires version. I saw them play it in Edmonton in 1997 at the start of the b2b tour and I loved it. Stop complaining - great to see them trying different songs

Funny how everyone complains about the same songs blah blah but then they pull one out from their newer period that is rarely played and the complaints start. These guys just blow me away. In their seventies and still willing to take some risks. This will be all over one day soon. Take it all in and enjoy the ride.

A song not performed onstage for eighteen years.

A highlight of the Tour.

The crowd loved it and I'm not surprised. Great riff.
