Looks like George Thorogood, opening act for many US 1981 shows including Hampton.

So if this is a photo from 81, did Chuck ever hang or guest with them, maybe in Atlanta?
Wardrobe consistent with 2nd Hampton show but could be another.

I'm 99.9% sure Bill never wore that jacket in 1982, which leads me to think this photo is 1981.
I don't have any confirmed photos from Atlanta 1981. It's my understanding (maybe someone can confirm) that Chuck did play with the Stones in Atlanta 1981.
Just for the record, I was talking with Chuck in San Jose 1999 at the hotel lobby/bar where the band was staying and I asked him how he got involved with the Stones.
One thing I remember him saying was that he was with the band at Long View Farm in August 1981. However I've never found a photo of Chuck Leavell at Long View Farm in August 1981.
The more I look at the photo, it does look like Chuck Leavell! It must be Atlanta. I'll write to Chuck and see if I can get a response.
Thanks everyone.
Here's a few links to photos of Chuck not with the Stones. Chuck back then looks like the guy in the pic. Good call!

I think you're right, Tony, Leavell had thick, curly hair round that time.
Thorogood (and Mac, of course) only did the US leg, right, so this pic must be from 1981.

Every picture tells a story, don't it? In the mystery photo Chuck is in line squeezing in to the group. Ian is looking and turning away as if he's leaving. This being the last show of the tour makes the symbolism even more symbolic.

Of course it’s not Chuck, not all men with a beard look the same. It’s probably a member of the Destroyers.

Here are the RS wardrobe 81-82 in short:
Sir Michael: American football outfits in diffent sets of colour. Sometimes a blue jacket and a beret.
Keith: The usual torn shirt with black jeans. Sometimes a black leather jacket. Plus scarves.
Bill: Yellow suit or a blue track suit.
Charlie: T-shirt and sweatpants.
Ronnie: Leather pants, sun-glasses, more colours than Keith.

Regarding the mystery photo above, I checked my pix and they are all wearing the exact outfits they wore for Hampton 2, including the patch on Ronnie's knee and Mac's shirt. This shot appears to be just before going onstage.

What about Bill's white suit with the red trim?

I'm sure Stoneage meant this as a joke. Exile's work for this thread has made it a must-see thread on IORR.
