This is the arena stage, so it can't be the Kingdome in Seattle. That stage in the pic would not debut for another month after Seattle.

Film Directors Rudolf Dolezal, Hannes Rossacher and Bill Wyman.
Dolezal & Rossacher worked on several Rolling Stones projects
including promo videos of "Time is on my Side" (live) to promote
"Still Life."

"Keith Richards is the person who, he once said in an interview with me “Sex and drugs and rock'n’roll,
the Rolling Stones invented all three”. He thinks the Rolling Stones invented sex, which of course is a
joke. But he has an attitude that fascinated me." - Rudi Dolezal

ABERDEEN 1982

The Rolling Stones 1982 performance at the Capitol Theatre in Aberdeen
was a long awaited return, coming back to the North-East after 17 years.

The gig opened their European tour on May 26, 1982, costing just £6.50 a ticket - though demand was so high, that re-sellers were pricing tickets marked up to £100.

The Stones arrived in the Granite City and went straight to their hotel room to watch the European Cup Final. The support act ended up performing for a whole 90 minutes, with the band glued to the match as Aston Villa defeated Bayern Munich 1-0.

Even Aberdeen FC were in attendance on the night, as invited guests of the band.

Lead singer Mick Jagger wowed crowds at the Capitol Theatre

The 36-stop concert tour promoted the album Tattoo You.

They opened with the 60s hit single Under My Thumb, before moving through their greatest hits from the 70s and 80s.

The Capitol Theatre, which housed the performance, had a later life as a nightclub before becoming a nine storey office building - doubtful there’s much rock and roll going on over there these days.

Whether this was for cooling purposes or just for fun is unclear, Mick Jagger reportedly threw a bucket of water over the crowd.. The crowd had the time of their lives either way.

Stones Record Breaking Syracuse Double!

“Let me hear ya,” yelled a pink leotarded Mick Jagger to 43,000 screaming,
clapping and standings fans at the Carrier Dome on Nov. 27, 1981.

The pent-up emotion may have been because the self-proclaimed “Greatest Rock n’
Roll Band in the World” had finally returned to Syracuse for the first time in 16 years.

The first of a two-night stop in Syracuse was record-breaking. The audience was
the largest indoor gathering of music fans ever in the Northeast.

“The Dome rumbled under the noise of audience and artist, with the building
seeming to waver under the sound assault,” wrote the Post-Standard’s John
Bonfatti. “Clouds of marijuana smoke hovered over the packed house, and joints
and pipes were ignited with every back beat.

A huge television screen floated over the stage, providing clear, color
closeups of all the action on the stage.

Which led Bonfatti to make an age-related crack at the band’s expense, with no
idea that the band would be set to announce another tour in 2020, 39 years later.

Rolling Stones fans wave the Union Jack at the Carrier Dome

“The screen accented the signs of age on the band members,” he wrote, “but
their performance only showed that while the flesh may wrinkle, the music
remains as powerful and crisp as when it first hit vinyl.”

The Stones played many of their classics, including “Honky Tonk Women,” “Brown
Sugar,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” and “Time is On My Side,” as well as, many songs
from their latest album, “Tattoo You.”

The two shows in Syracuse, with nearly 86,000 tickets sold, was expected to
gross almost $1.3 million.
