photo by Larry Hulst - Who's on Sax?
Lee Allen
He played a few shows: on October 1 at the Metro Centre (Rockford, Illinois), and on October 3 and 4 at Folsom Field (Boulder, Colorado).
If memory serves, he got stage fright and didn't wanna continue the tour..
Ernie Watts is in the background of one of my Rosemont Horizon pics and he's wearing what appears to be a shirt identical to the one pictured above - same neckline, sleeves, length, straight hem, etc. Might the man in the white shirt & shades above actually be Ernie Watts?
Here is a crop of Ernie from my photo:
I attended 8 '81 shows (starting w/ Philly 1 and ending w/ Rosemont 3) and have not heard of Lee Allen. Why was he hired? Did Ernie have to leave the tour for a bit due to a prior commitment? Any info would be much appreciated

I do closed-captioning for movies and TV for a living, so I go back and forth with dialogue all the time.
