Now it's Glenn Frey; I wasn't aware he had been battling illness for so long

All I know is that the next 10 years are going to be excruciatingly painful for fans of rock'n'roll. I dread checking the news some mornings out of fear that someone I love will have departed overnight.

Never take for granted that you'll awake to even check the news

how's that for sobering?

The warning signs for Bowie were there since his heart attack in 2004. He stopped touring, he reduced his public appearances, produced less material...generally took it easy. Nobody knew he had liver cancer, or endured SIX heart attacks within the calendar year.

I refuse to consider the possibility that Keith could die anytime soon. Ignorance is bliss. He's tough stuff, though, I think he'll live at least 5 more years. I really hope so. When he eventually does die (and I finally come to acceptance of it), it's really gonna hit me hard. Me and everybody else here. The death of a celebrity has never made me particularly sad before, but I'll be devastated. Of course I'll be sad when any Stone dies, but Keith has a very special place for me
