The tributes they did in concert for Bobby Keys, Ian Stewart, John Lennon, George Harrison, Elvis Presley, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and BB King were all so good...

cool smileygrinning smiley

they did a nice sort of service for Brian, with the butterflies, and the poem..

there was a show for Stu but it was private, wasn't it..?

The HP opening track, I'm Yours And She's Mine was one of Brian's favourite tunes, wasn't it? A tribute there as well, I guess..

Nice thought, but no thank you.

They shouldn't attempt to play any Bowie songs but I think it would be cool if Mick could paint his face ala Alladin Sane and maybe wear one of his old velvet jumpsuits. Keith and Ronnie could recreate the 'Pin Ups' album cover. Charlie as the Thin White Duke.

Suffragette City Keith Harmony on "Wam, bam, thank you mam."

Jagger is afraid to play anything but War Horses these days...
Keith can't even get Beast Of Burden into the set list.

You think the are going to put a David Bowie song in there...don't think so...

The obvious choice would be Rebel Rebel...straight forward...not produced...same lick over and over w/ 3 chords thrown in...Ronnie Wood could handle the whole thing and Keith could take this song off and pretend to play it.

We'll see...

Bruce just did Rebel Rebel in his tour opener in Pittsburgh.

I'd love to hear the Stones do a steamy delta bluesy The Jean Genie.

No. They cant touch the real Bowie (1976-80 + 1996+2015) so IF they try it will be moonage or china girl or loik back in anger.

I just don't get the logic of playing tribute at a Stones concert. I just want to hear The Stones. They never even mentioned Bobby Keys. Why should they with Bowie?
