Much as I dislike Billy Joel, that was a fun clip to watch. How cool would it be to have Chuck's piano roll out onto center stage during a Stones show and Mick crawl across the top of the piano while singing this song (or some other mid tempo song) and sit on the piano and play at being a lounge singer? It'd be a site to see.

I'm a big Fallon fan, but in this instance I think I would've liked to just hear Billy and the Roots do the song. Was pretty good though!

Fallon appears obsessed with executing his gaudy Jagger impression on television.

Another Fallon fan who wishes he would let the actual musicians perform..

Fallon obviously choose the song so he could show off his Mick Jagger imitation, but still cute to watch. Thanks, BostonLass.

God, I hate seeing Fallon perform with EVERY SINGLE MUSICIAN on his show. It's like he's living out his rock star fantasies through his show. It may be fun for him, but I hate it with a passion.

I like Fallon. He's fun. The Roots are great and he has always great guests on his show

He just did it at Madison Square Garden tonight when he covered Start Me Up with Billy.

Ugh.

I don't like watching this kind of television. One of the reasons is that hosts of the show
seem to forget they're only instrumental for putting the spotlight on their guests.
But that's as old as Dean Martin I guess....

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

He runs out of steam about halfway through SMU. Just can't hang with the Mick.

I just saw the "George Fest" where the first performance was Old Brown Shoe performed by...Conan O'Brien! Conan O'Brien??! He did okay...for Conan O'Brien. But these non-professional musicians getting this free pass to perform with music legends is ridiculous! Like when Kevin Spacey sang Imagine at the "Come Together" fest years ago. Jimmy Fallon singing the Stones on his own show is one thing, but in Madison Square Garden??! Give me a break!
