what accidental tweet?

plexi

AEG tweeted the date/venue the night before the announcement, then quickly deleted the tweet.
In addition to the posted/deleted early Lucky Dip tweet?
You had ONE JOB, tweeters...cool smiley

Hummm, very interesting, someone has messed up tweets twice, but yet our "inside sources" haven't heard anything, yet we heard about the October 7th before anyone.

Desert Trip prices on Stubhub - especially GA - seem to be coming down since the Vegas announcement. Another area show would put a further dent in things.

Lucky Dip now sold out on RS website button.
I clicked it many, many times in the last few days, when ASX connected, said not sold out, sometimes said sold out, sometimes may be available.
Next location, LV 2?
One at a time?
North America tour?

Agree with your assessment.. but have to add that even though I had a desktop, laptop, and phone w/app going I snagged two really good seats with the app. Got lower level seats priced at upper level price. Not many of those to begin with and I got them w the app long into reg sale(?) For what it's worth..

So what's next? Would it be a second night in Vegas and then other cities? Is the promotor trying to get everyone out to Vegas thinking this is it? How come we haven't heard any rumors yet of other cities? Even the Monkees have announced their dates!!

The ZipCode stadium tour was very fairly priced. Also, crowds were more diverse and atmosphere was great. I am hoping that they could play stadiums in a few major cities.

Raleigh was a great tailgating for sure.
Nice warm evening but not too hot which Raleigh can be that time of year.
A couple of drops of rain before the show and it was on.

Sorry I didn't see the fellow IORR'rs there!

Thanks,

Mike

these shows most likely have nothing to do with the tour-

phillip anschutz' company's new baby is the t-mobile arena.they will soon pay the national hockey league $500 million to put a team in the arena and they are putting every act they can think of for the big 'opening season". they're most likely doing with the rolling stones the same as they did with guns and roses.

gnr did coachella and the t-mobile a couple of months ago and they weren't on tour yet, their tour didn't start until this week.

the Anschutz Entertainment Group is the new world order of the business, they control every facet of a show, they own venues-they are the promoter-they sell tickets through their own ticket outlets-AXS.

which is why you don't see some of the old faces around such as michael kohl and ticketmaster.remember when we thought ticketmaster was such a scary monster? they are a mom and pop operation compared to AEG.

the tour probably isn't completely set and may start a bit after vegas.
AEG has arenas and stadiums all over the states that the stones will be doing in the fall though, that is as close to a sure thing as you will ever see.

with the amount of money they have the negotiations were probably them handed the commander a blank check and asking him to fill in the amount, that's the kinda thing that puts the stones on the road.

Thanks for the info!
Makes a lot of sense.
I would still bet on other shows perhaps being prior to Vegas tho.. again primarily based on Chuck's "stones activity in Sep/Oct comment"..
