There won't be any empty seats. AEG has this planned perfectly from a business perspective. They are pros.

Vegas has a unique atmosphere. They can pay these rip off prices because the various casinos can buy them up and give them away to their 'whales' as enticement. Not rock and roll, but that idea faded down the railway lines a long time ago.

I think this is the tour where they finally play to more than a few empty seats. Paying this kind of money to see 70 year old plus men play songs that are mostly 45-50years old is something I can easily miss. I've seen the show before.

It's true. Veteran Stones concertgoers, I'm included, have broken into two camps, those that feel the Stones have 'jumped the shark' a few years back, and those that have the money to blow on seeing the same old same old over and over.

Patience will be the key here. I think there is concert ticket price fatigue everywhere but at these prices it will be extreme, even in Vegas, even for the Stones.
I've recently seen Paul Simon and Bob Dylan and scored $150 face value tickets, ($175 with fees) for $100 and $85 respectively - 16th row both times). The market just isn't that strong and folks are saying enough is enough.
I've paid below face for the Stones a few times and they were ticket prices far below these. I got pit tickets in Philly at roughly half price. Maybe some didn't like the idea of having to stand but to me the PIT was the ultimate and the demand for those tickets should have been through the roof yet they were available for $450. Compare that to the $750 tix for Vegas...

I'll concede that probably Vegas won't have many empties due to casino comps (the last comp I was offered was two months BEFORE an Eagles show) but if they go on to other venues in the U.S. with these kind of prices, especially during an election year, there WILL be empty seats.
I'm a typical IORR Stones fan. 58 years old, seen them over a dozen times, first time in 1978, but the last 3-4 shows have essentially been the same show. Same setlists (and now we're down to 18 songs, with encore, likely a concession to age). Love 'em to death, wish I was one of 'em, but I can't justify spending this kind of money for a show I have truly seen many times before. Combine the cost with the unchanging set list and the very occasional boring new product and as a live fan, I'm sadly done.

Bought a couple of tix in sect. 18 for $390 ea.(including the FU service charge). Very happy puppy to get third level price and still be in the first level on the side. Time to rock. Yee haw!

Agreed alfadriver- these prices would be warranted for a theater, not an arena. I just checked what other acts were charging at T Mobile arena:
Garth Brooks: $79 for ALL seats
Cold Play: $29- $179
George Strait: $75- $200
Stones: $79- $750
I guess I can't really bitch as buying $450 tickets makes me part of the problem. To me, seeing the Stones in Vegas is all about the adventure. It's more an experience than a concert. But still, the ticket pricing is absurd.

I'm not usually one to harp on these things, but I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 52, and have seen them over 50 times since 1981. I've never hesitated when it came to buying Stones tickets, but with each passing tour the urge is less and less (I only saw them once last tour vs. multiple times prior to that). Yesterday I was on the fence throwing back ticket after ticket that popped up, weighing the good vs bad (and the ugly), and I never pulled the trigger on any of them. Sure it would be fun to see them in Vegas again (might try again if a second show is added - doubt it though), but the ridiculous prices for the same old show swayed me to reality that it wasn't worth it. With that said, it's true that I'll be seeing them at Desert trip, and that probably has a great deal with my decision not to pull the trigger for Vegas, but still...I felt ripped off just by looking at the computer screen yesterday. To pay $800+ for a single ticket is beyond rational thinking imo - even if it was the front row. The $75's are a nice gesture, but sitting in the rafters is not an option for me. And all the price levels in between the highs and lows still seemed like a waste. Not knocking or mocking those who went for it as each person has different priorities and levels of enthusiasm for the band, I'm just giving my personal impressions.
ps - Still seeking a mid-price Desert Trip weekend One pass at face value.
Looking forward to seeing Neil Young again along with all the other bands on the bill.
