Lower Bowl in a section close to the stage. That is my favorite seat actually and in an arena not a stadium

I paid $750 for a seat to see 6 full sets by legendary bands at Desert Trip.

Yeah, I know it's not as intimate, but compared to being close-ish in an arena for one Stones show for the same price, I'll take DT.

Well for $750 you will be 100 yards or more away!

We did that for years before promoters got hip to it and started raising the prices on the front part of the lower level.
i ended up sitting about 10 rows back in the front row of the bowl at a show [ i cannot remember who was playing] but the floor sold out really quick so there we where-i look and i'm sitting 10th row but instead of looking up at the stage i'm even with it,a great view.but of course the bastards figured it out but it was good while it lasted.

thumbs up

GA weekend 1 for $435, and reserved grandstand seat for weekend 2 at apprx. $950 about 1/2 way back 10 rows up.
For all that (6 days, 6 bands, 12 full sets at less than $1500), I couldn't even buy two decent seats for one Stones show in Vegas.
I'm sure the Vegas show will be good, but the ridiculous prices for the same old show was a turn off and I had to refuse. Tried Lucky dip but was 'unlucky'.
Had I not already seen them so many times over the years in various venues (big, medium, small), I might have felt different, and went for it. But as it is I felt the Vegas prices were insulting to my common sense.

Live Nation

Barbra Streisand
T-Mobile Arena

Aug. 6, 2016
$3,535,905
12,946 / 12,946
1 / 1
$510, $99
Live Nation/S2BN Entertainment

George Strait, Kacey Musgraves

So the capacity is 11,000 to 19,000, maybe it's all about demand.

Assuming that Lucky Dips will be available, does anyone have any tips for someone who hasn't bought them before? The link appears on the Stones website, and it's pretty straightforward? How quickly do they sell out?

Used to be the buzz preceded the tour, now the tour/show(s) are preceding the potential for the buzz... The Stones had a fairly regular cycle every 3 years or so for North America from '69 to '81, then the gap to Steel Wheels in '89 but then still the album/tour cycle seemed the norm. They've had more so-called downtime as they've gotten older, which is common for most folks no matter what their profession... Slow down as you near retirement!

I wouldn't consider myself a high roller by any means, but I've been sitting on my vacation hours since switching jobs in February, and being lucky enough to have 3 weeks of vacation right off the bat! I used a night for G'n'R in Cincinnati, and have another tomorrow night for the USA vs. Canada World Cup of Hockey pre-tournament game in Columbus... Now I've scheduled some hours around the Vegas shows and will be off from 10-14 thru 10-26. Flying into Vegas on 10-17 and home on the 10-24 redeye, stayin' with my bud in Enterprise... Seein' Billy Idol on 10-21 too! Should be big fun!

I've planned for the potential buzz, and The Stones are gonna do some shows, so the hype I created for myself will be well worth it to me!

I still think they'll throw somethin' unusual at us, either for all 4 gigs or at least for Vegas to set them apart from Desert Trip... We may be impatient because we are hearing little to no info from the band themselves, but they always shine bright when they return with a new campaign.

The Stones have never failed to deliver, and I can't see it happening this time either!

I know that George Strait has always played arenas in a 360 configuration, with a stage in the middle of the arena with several mic stands set up all around for him to sing into. So the true capacity of the arena is roughly 19,000. The Stones won't be playing 360. I'd imagine their capacity would be closer to what Guns n Roses were, in the 14,000 range.

As soon as they go on sale, grab 'em, is all the advice I have. They sold out very quickly for the last show.

"The Rolling Stones Announce Second Vegas Show - October 22

Published on Sep 8, 2016

Due to overwhelming demand, The Rolling Stones have announced a second and final Las Vegas show on Saturday, October 22 at T-Mobile Arena. This will be the iconic band’s last U.S. show of 2016 and will come on the heels of their performances at the legendary concert event Desert Trip in Indio, California on October 7 and 14, and their already-sold-out first show in Las Vegas on October 19."

Time to change the title of the thread. Fall tour is a huge overstatement.

For the first Vegas show we wanted to get 4 Lucky Dip Tickets. 4 people on 4 different computers started to push the F5 button on The Rolling Stones ticket site (not the AXS) at 9.30 am. At 9.50 a Lucky Dip Button appeared and we were in the AXS waiting room. Then we could enter all our information and at 10 am we had a pair of tickets on all 4 computers. So be early and click F5 until your finger hurts. Sadly I can't go to the second show as we come from Germany and plan to visit Sequoia and Yosemite on that weekend. Good Luck

We had three people on three computers doing the same and came up empty.
Had great luck in the past, but none for Vegas 1.. Here's hoping for Vegas 2!!

Check for more Lucky Dips a day or 2 before the concerts, they usually release more after staging has been set up. That is how my friend and I got ours at Staples Center.

Staples was a slow seller and had more lucky dips than other west coast shows.

It just says "last US show" it does not mean it is the last show of 2016. The could do some shows in London again.

This "mini-tour" has a bit of a $ilver lining...

I was gearing up to follow the band for at least a few more shows after DT and Vegas.. Now, I will get to see three of the four shows in an eight days and save a little cash for a potential trip to Europe to see them in 2017...
