I would love a sept to oct tour but..
Well, as long as we're asking the boys...starting in July or August and ending in mid December would suit me nicely.
Please and thank you.
Sincerely yours,

Will Vegas be between the Desert Trip shows?

Ugh.. Vegas on New Years sounds like my worst nightmare. Not to say I wouldn't still go but I don't want to be anywhere near Las Vegas on NYE.

I read where it might be. But also read where the promoters flew out and talked with them about doing Las Vegas shows on New Years Eve and/or Day

It is a rumour until it's confirmed.

my sources say that they are currently soliciting billionaires for birthday party requests. once they have booked 1-3 billionaire birthday parties (BBPs, in Stones parlance), they will then decide how the rest of the tour schedule will fit around those dates.
it's good to keep a calendar with the birthdates of various billionaires marked if you want to anticipate the tour.

As for Chuck. Not a big fan myself (musically) but at this time of their lives he is hugely important to the band. He is the security blanket that makes it happen and keeps the music on an even keel. Chuck is clearly very important to the touring version of todays Stones. I suspect without Chuck we would not have had most of the tours over the last 20 years. I do want to give him that due.

That's so sad to think that that's what the Rolling Stones have become....a commodity bought by the highest bidder.

Will Lisa be joining up with the Stones for the shows in California? Any news if she will return?
I see she has solo bookings beginning around October 28th. If the Stones tour
begins with desert trip and continues for 15 dates, she may not fit into the
stones scheduled dates. Although maybe her shows will be on off dates.
When I was in Brazil for the shows earlier in the year I was told by someone who is very well informed that Lisa is finished with the Stones.

Rubbish.
A Billionaire spends considerable effort and $ to get them to do a private gig.
Were any one of us the billionaire or a band member, would we do differently?
Of course not. Good on them for doing whatever gig they choose.

Not too long ago there was a thread about us all chipping in for a private Stones show. I pledged $2000. A pipe dream (literally) but one can hope.

That still is a great idea! At $2000 a head we could rent a club or private facility and have an IORR fan concert. A venue holding 2000 would bring in $4 million.
Course, it would take BV or someone with his connections to get the idea off the ground. But if it ever did, with the right timing and place, I bet the band would totally be into it.
