I am waiting in line with the walking guy. But I opened another window and went

to the site again. Went to BUY PASSES. Then two options for each weekend come up.

Go to Premium Ticketing!!!!!!! They are scalping tickets themselves!

Check it out. BS I say!

And they have hundreds of tickets. I doubt very many tickets actually went on sale to the general public.

Did anyone on this site get a good RESERVED seat?

This tour started in the fall of 2012. Almost 4 years of the same shows. As long as people willing to hand over $300 a seat we can call this the Never Ending Tour.

I got good seats for the first weekend. It took 2 hours and 40 minutes to get through, but I got Grandstand, S15 in Row E.

I'm over the top happy w/ 2 seats in N17 & camping. A friend got thru early, called me & ordered for me. She passed on tics since GA were sold out & she's not a real fan. By the time my walking man made it to the ticket window, only single seat options & no camping. My great Stones karma is holding! Yessss

Wouldn't it be great if the second week, they changed it about a bit.

Would help fans out,if they couldn't afford all six gigs

Maybe The Stones and The Who one night.

Neil Young and Bob Dylan another night.

Macca and Roger Waters another night. thumbs up

Thanks guys!

It's a damn expensive ticket, but 'life is for living' (and eating beans on toast for the next three months, ha!)

It took me about 45mins to get through and then the process was really straight forward.

Roll on October!

So with the successful tickets sales for this monster weekend. Each band was

guaranteed 7 Million (rumored). And the Festival grossing 100 Million (rumored)

And I think that was for one weekend.

THEN DO YA THINK WE SEE THIS SAME LINE UP / CONCERT Somewhere else?

I say it could happen. Too much $$$$$ flying around.

The Traveling Desert Monster Show...coming to a desert near you!

As for the rumored 7 Million pay day, there was an article somewhere (billboard?) that broke it down saying some would get more than that,
while others would get less - and for some of those it would be their biggest pay day ever. I wonder if that payday is per weekend, or if it's the total amount for both weekends.
In any case, it's quite a lot no matter how you break it down.

I should have been a famous rock legend...cool smiley

SECOND WEEKEND ADDED!!!

Message last updated: 9:38 AM PT
ALERT!

Due to overwhelming demand, a second weekend has been added to Desert Trip, Friday, October 14, Saturday, October 15 and Sunday October 16.

ALL PASSES and PACKAGES are currently available for purchase for Weekend 1 and 2.

Please click here if you would like to get in line for Weekend 2. You will not lose your place in Weekend 1.

Interesting they knew demand would be high before tickets went on sale. Maybe the reseller agencies made sure demand would be high and bought most of the tickets.

That is a really good idea... and it would be silly if they didn't. Variety is the spice of life.

I will only be there via periscope, but it would be nice if they mixed it up.

I wonder if anything has materialized out of this?
Maybe a show or two between the Desert Trip weekends? Or a few shows after?

From Feb 24th, Las Vegas Sun
Are The Rolling Stones headed to the Las Vegas Strip?

Are The Rolling Stones headed to the Las Vegas Strip?

"Is Britain’s longest-reigning rock group headed to the Las Vegas Strip? I can reliably confirm that initial discussions have been held for The Rolling Stones to play the new T-Mobile Arena before year’s end".

"AEG officials from Las Vegas flew to Rio de Janeiro last week to talk with the band about the possible Las Vegas dates".

"After the rock icons’ concerts (in South America), the discussions about a fall weekend of two, possibly three shows at T-Mobile Arena would become “very serious.” I was told that Mick and his three compatriots are “very open” to playing Las Vegas before year’s end and that AEG and MGM Resorts International, who run the concert bookings here, are ”ready to turn penciled dates into inked ones.”'

It would be fantastic if they mixed it up, I agree.
But not really fair for those that bought single day passes based on their posted line-up. If I'd have gotten through I would have purchased my planned 3day pass and then only the one day pass for the Stones on weekend 2.

I talked to a couple 'kids' in their early 20s I know who told me yesterday they got put on some kind of waiting list. I'm assuming they got tickets for the 2nd show. One of the 'kids' was excited, as he's never seen the Stones, or Dylan. I say great for them. I'm too old to put up with crap from overpaid rock stars. Go to the freakin' desert and camp out, and maybe, maybe get a decent seat, to see an act delivering the same show for four years now, with even less without Mick Taylor.

I put up with 'Festival Seating', and standing in long lines for hours overnight to try and get a decent seat, and then finding out it was all rigged by the ticket agencies, and that I could be third in line and end up with ticket in the nosebleeds. Steely Dan, great seats, fireworks, the freakin' Hollywood Bowl, WITH an orchestra (Steely Dan has never done this), for....wait....$70 Dollars! And you can bring your own food and booze! That's value, and that's enjoyment. And what are the chumps paying to hear Sympathy for the Devil for the 1,000th time?

But more power to those 'kids' who've never seen them. They'll have nothing to compare them to, which is great. And they've never heard Tumblin' Dice, so....have a blast. Hand me the white meat chicken salad from Trader Joes, and a cold Heineken from the cooler.

I agree with you.
Another great idealism thing would be to give plenty of advance notice of a third fantastic weekend in the desert................and mix it up a bit.
Pick and choose the day or days you want to go. smileys with beer

So did plans change with them adding the second weekend?
I am wondering would they really play Vegas in the middle of the week?
Wouldn't they need to play Vegas if at all 10/21 and then make their way wherever?
