As much as I would like to see that become reality, I doubt it.
I recon the band will take some holiday after the tour; maybe they will enter the studio first, to cut some rough tracks to be polished up and mixed later, but then take some holidays over the summer...

For a lot of us from elsewhere, it is not.
I'm sure the last remodel that lasted several years ending in 2013 significantly changed things. But, it has not "demolished".
Seen them there several times, and am looking forward to the next time...
It may not be at MSG, but the Stones are definitely due for a show in NYC.
First, only speak for yourself. You know nothing about the magic and history of rock concerts and the history of arena design. New Yorkers who have been there since their youth know what happened. You must not have much experience in the music business to understand what it takes to make a really historic rock show. You should have been born earlier...
Or it could be the AEG people want to book the Stones for an European Tour...

Milan over 60000 in 2003 and 2006 Great crowd!!!
Circus Maximum Rome over 70000 in 2014 Awesome crowd!!!
Naples over 80000 in 1982 Fantastic crowd!!!

I am happy everyone is excited, but it has been here thousand times before. The Las Vegas Sun or any other similar webb page or "newspaper" will never be the first to know such thing. The article itself is a mischmasch of useless information that the band is on tour in South America, that Mick flew to Havana "last week to make an advance check of dance clubs"

I've been to MSG since the renovation. I think it's great! The hallways are wider and there are many more bathrooms. Would love to see the boys due 3 or 4 shows at MSG in NYC!

The Las Vegas Sun article was written by Robin Leach - remember him? In the 80's he took us on house tours of the rich and famous. He now has a column for the newspaper - kind of a gossip column.
One flaw with the article is that Robin or his assistant did not note the original publication dates on the Mick in Havana articles that were republished last weekend. Unless Mick is now Samantha Stevens and can wrinkle his nose, he can't be in both Rio and Havana last week. Shoddy research.
Last year at this time, Robin wrote that the Stones would be playing Vegas on the Zip Code tour. Although I think it was confirmed there was a hold on the arena.
I do think Robin Leach has a mole in the MGM booking office. Probably the only thing we can consider factual is that AEG flew representatives down to Rio last week for the concert. It could have been the AEG tour party. Or it could be AEG was pitching a fall US leg of the never ending tour. Or both.
It does look like the Stones are considering another 14 date leg in the US.

If they will play more shows this year it will be in the u.s. Europe stadium tour in summer is too late, in the u.s. they have big arena to play in autumn
