Wow. Had never heard this before. It's awesome. Almost has a bit of a U2 sound, kind of like the version of Silver and Gold with Ronnie and Keith

Oh, that must be the famous acoustic version Ronnie once hailed so much.

And it does sound great indeed. A great groove and the guitars sound damn tasty. Unfortunately the lyrics are still under construction and Mick's delivery is half-cooked (although sounds good, though). But one can hear there alternative incarnation for this song. But I don't think this version had worked as a single A side back in 1983.

I wouldn't even say it's better than the album version, but it is nice to hear this version and it's pretty great.

Of course, this version is a good one but no even close to single material for a 1983 song, the original version released was a US Top 10 hit during 3 weeks in December 1983, a great single by the Stones after 20+ years after they first hit the charts.
