This book can be found in Buenos Aires book stores. Has anyone read it? Is it worth having?

Ole Tour - Two cameras at one spot
Posted by: StonedRambler ()
Date: February 12, 2016 15:29

Just watched some youtube videos of the concert in Chile and noticed that they have two camera men at each of the usual camera spots now.
Never saw this before. Is this new? And does anybody know what's the sense of it?
Maybe educating new camera men? Or more cameras to release a bluray of the tour?

Dunno - if they aren't the usual camera men for the big Video screens, then it might be Video director Paul Dugdale (Sweet Summer Sun, Fonda Theatre): [dugdaleblog.com] ....

They are filming the B.A. shows in 3D for a future DVD release.

Is this a guess? I think 3D DVD releases don't exist.

The question is why the filming cameras should be so close to the video screen cameras. It does not really make sense to me (although I don't know much about professional video recording). Maybe TornAndFried is right and they do 3D filming.

I think they are filming the Buenos Aires shows for a future DVD/Blue Ray release, perhaps using 3D cameras. They may also be thinking about a cinema release.

Then I think they should have mixed up the setlist a little bit so it's not that similar to Sweet Summer Sun

18 songs is to little,if you have 70,000 people at the show then why not play more songs?

people pay alot of money for a ticket

its not that difficult add a few extra songs in the set list

The condition of Jagger's voice in Uruguay, particularly during 'Satisfaction', may have something to do with it.

Some of them are pushing 80. They play for over two hours in what appears to very warm weather.

We can only speculate on why. I dunno.

Well,
In 2025 it will be 10 songs they do. just be happy they are rolling and rocking and having fun together, and giving their audience fun.
Who cares. if you dont like it, stay at home and give your ticket to me.

STONES PLAY CUBA ???

According to German newspaper Morgenpost they will.

The Rolling Stones want to occur in Havana

US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker countered the criticism with the demand that the Cuban government various sectors of the economy still very partitioning effect.
Obama's visit is framed by two other high-profile events. On March 20, the Rolling Stones will give a concert in Havana. Two days later meets the Cuban baseball team in a rare friendly match on the Tampa Bay Rays in Florida. Most recently, in 1928 an incumbent US president visited the island. Calvin Coolidge arrived aboard the warship "USS Texas" in Havana. 1948 visited Harry Truman the Guantánamo Bay in the southeast of the island. Jimmy Carter had traveled Cuba until after the end of his presidency as a private citizen. Ric Herrero, director of the Miami-based lobby group now Cuba, welcomed the signal from Washington: "Obama's speech is followed by any Cubans on TV This will have an impact far beyond the time of the Castro brothers also.."

Why they are playing only 18 songs????

You will find the answer in one of their early songs:

What a drag it is getting older...

Because 18 songs takes two hours twenty minutes, and then it is time to go home. Most people age 70+ do not spend more than two hours or so on stage playing rock'n'roll.
