Well, I wonder about a lot of things too...but some are not good for sharing.

i know mick does.

some years ago, we were in cleveland to see the stones. the night before the show we arrived at the same hotel the stones were staying at. my husband and i wanted to have a nice dinner, but as it was after 9pm on a sunday, most restaurants were closed. the concierge at the hotel informed us that, although their restaurant normally would be closed, they were staying open later to accommodate some other guests, and we were welcome to dine there. so we found ourselves in the dining room, with ronnie's family at the next table, and mick and his assistant in a nearby booth. mick had a cold and was frequently blowing his nose. the waiter confided to us that he had ordered mussels in curry sauce. when mick left, i couldn't resist going over to his spot and snatching the used napkin, which had yellowish stains of either curry sauce or his snot.

i still have that napkin!

Does going onstage at JFK Stadium in 1978 with a bad flu count?

As long as Keith doesn't get a cough like Joe had and gets the same prescription to fix it I think all will be well.

I am well.......it was just something purely random that entered my head.

Yup Mick got sick and they had to cancel the show at Hanging Rock! I was so bummed! We had fantastic seats, and it would have been a fantastic place to see them.

I seem to remember that around January 1969 a notable percentage of the British music community, rock and jazz (including Keith, Lennon, Clapton, Mitchell, Baker etc.et al.) got very regular colds that disappeared when the next bag of smack turned up.

They've had to cancel shows for Mick and Keith ailments, but never for any of the others, yes?

As I endlessly and boringly droned on about at the time, the venue is pretty close to where I live, and having The Rolling Stones playing in my backyard (over-exaggeration of course) at what has to be one of the most magical venues on the globe, was a dream come true.

And then Jagger goes and gets a cold.

A clear case of fandom going a tad bit too far. And people wonder why Mick is so guarded.

Mick was sick and throwing kleenex on the stage and Keith was picking it up at several shows for their 50th Anniversary shows. Stress wears down the immune system. But, Mick always gives 100%. That's why he's the best. He gives everything he has.

You know they say the older you get the less colds you get since there's like 200 cold viruses and once you've gotten through one you're then immune to it.

So with each passing cold there's just that fewer left to catch!

Geez, next you'll be telling me they pee - anywhere!

Neat story! I can't quite imagine being so nearby to the Stones...

Colds evolve. What that age thing refers to is "common colds".

Didn't Mick have a cold in St Louis in 97 the show tht is out on dvd.
