Chet Flippo said it best in 1978. I’d rather see the stones on a bad night, than Bruce on a Good Night.

32 songs in Kilkenny, if you count the pre-show acoustic "This Hard Land". And why wouldn't you?

The actual set opened with a cover of The Pogues' "A Rainy Night in Soho"

The 40th anniversary Translucent Red Vinyl was in Germany at #1 in the general jpc sales-charts on 15-May-2024:

Got back from Sunderland to the Newcastle hotel. Hot show under a biblical rainfall that lasted for almost the entire show. Was sitting in the stand under the roof, felt sorry for the crowd on the pitch. Voice problems hardly recognized from Bruce who gave a strong vocal performance overall. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Show length: 2 hrs 55 mins

I was front standing - don’t think I’ve dried out yet! Fantastic gig, looking forward to Stockholm 1 in July. Particularly pleased got racing in the street and the river

Bruce’s finishing touch on The River last night, that drawn out falsetto in high pitch, was one for the ages! Voice problems? You are joking.

Seemingly the never ending downpour didn’t affect the enthusiasm of the Geordie fans, pitch and stand alike. One of the hottest crowds I have ever seen at Springsteen concerts I have been at (this is my eighth since Osaka first night 1985).

Tonight’s gig in Marseille is off. Bruce is ill.

Yeah, he lost his voice. Obviously sucks for the people who went there, many of them lining up for days.

those die-hard fans are used to it.
I'd rather pity those people who had to take a day off to see the show

A day off on a Saturday? Well, I'm sure some did have to.

I was there.
Outside in line. The 'role call' fans were inside since one hour.
Soundcheck : Lonesome Day and the begin of Long Walk Home. And he stopped.
His voice was unrecognisable.

Next gigs in Prague and Milan seems compromised to me.

A day off from your family can sometimes be a good thing!

Maybe he pushed himself too much in Sunderland…

He did.
Just in t-shirt, under the rain, 12°C (the band was wearing winter clothes) :

Staff and band are leaving Marseille this afternoon (2 different planes to Prague).
Bruce and Steven are travelling on a small jet.
Not scheduled today or tomorrow.

If Prague (or even Milan) are not postponed, there is a small chance for the postponed show in Marseille between Barcelona and Nijmegen (a show on monday june 24th or tuesday june 25th. Not really great for fans)

So there you go. The shows are cancelled this year. And I doubt if the Boss is coming back to Europe for the third consecutive year in 2025.

It'll be like the US 2024 shows.
Nothing was scheduled in the USA on 2024.
2024 : postponed 2023 US shows + european leg 2.
The US leg 2 was scheduled in 2025.
2025 : USA + 4 european postponed shows (and few more probably)
(and maybe Australia + NZ)

The info I heard from a couple of good sources in Cork & Dublin last week suggested that he actually WILL be. Aiken's (his promoters in Ireland) seem confident of a couple of Irish shows next summer.

There's simply no room to reschedule these four postponed concerts before the European tour ends on July 27. And with the US summer tour starting on August 15, they're not realistically going to slot them in there either.

This was always a potential risk with taking such small gaps between tour legs. A week of ill-health will cause utter chaos.

It'll be interesting to read in the next few days exactly what they intend to do about these concerts. I simply can't see him NOT rescheduling shows that were due to take place at the San Siro. For him, its as close to an iconic venue for Europe as Met Life would be in the US.

Clearly, Springsteen will be adding extra concerts to those 4 postponed to make this third European leg profitable.
He can easily add a third concert in Milan too.

I should be getting on the train to Prague in two hours, except I won't. Well, at least I am one of those lucky ones who have no extra travel / accomodation costs

It would appear the band actually went to Prague. There have been some sightings of band members out and about.

Marseille, Prague, and Milan fans, from afar, serenaded the ailing Boss

As a result, it sounds like they're in for epic shows next year.
