Saw him and his band for the first time in Atlanta earlier this month. My $180 ticket was worth every penny.

RollingFreak we are in complete agreement there.

I was just discussing the static setlist thing with a friend. That would be disappointing if I was going to many shows.

Neither of us blame Bruce for the prices to beat the scalpers but that is why I didn't go. I wasn't paying $1,000 to see him this time. I did 8 shows of the Ben Harper tour for less.

Is that what a Bruce-ticket costs now? Wow!

No. From $80 in Washington shows still to happen. Yep behind the stage. $170 in front of it. Worth every $$$

Granted, it's a baseball stadium, twice the size of an arena, but I got first-level seats for tonight's show at Nate Park for $220 apiece. Not a bargain, but far from scandalous.

I agree with Bruce's politics and his rally message this tour.

I don't agree with Bruce's sets that have become very static.

I don't agree with Bruce's ticket prices.

I agree with his reasoning to charge them because everyone else is and if he charged less, scalpers would mark them up. And if anyone's going to get that money, it should be Bruce. I'm glad I saw him when it was more affordable.

For the most part, the only reason Bruce has changed, as you mentioned, is because the world changed first and he adapted with that.

I don't begrudge anybody for speaking out against politics but we have 2 bad choices; I find it hard to believe the side Bruce supported in the 70s he still feels strongly for as they've really, really changed a lot. I guess my point is the old rule, if you don't have anything nice to say or a better idea why speak about it at all.

In Pittsburgh I was able to buy 3 tickets, 2 nosebleed seats and 1 standing room in the Corona Cantina, for a total of $325.

Without it getting too political, for many people Trump is more than just "one of two bad options." There was governing within normal reason, and then there's what he does, and I understand why it enrages many people.

Hey, a ton of really great music, movies and activism came from denouncing Nixon in the 70s. Speaking out against the President is not a new thing.

As for Bruce's ticket prices, on the coasts and specifically in NY, CA and NJ, Boston, his typical strongholds, ticket prices were very high. For most, you weren't getting in for at least $300, and often more for a halfway decent seat. Behind the stage seats were $200.

In SF anything available on the floor was $1000. Behind the stage was $400.

If I am going I am taping and need to be in the right spot. Even if I wasn't I couldn't do nosebleed or behind the stage. Can't do it for anyone. WOuld rather save the money and stay home. I will go big or stay home and that started at $1000 (note started)

Fair enough. Rock on!

It is true that ticket prices are generally outrageous these days. Main reason why I gave up going to most rock pop shows.

I don't blame the artists for tacking advantage, as far as they don't use the BS excuse that this way the scalpers don't make a profit.

In the old days scalpers did make a profit, at times a huge profit, but at the expense of a very small percentage of desperates willing to pay the cash. Most of the audience were in at face value. Then came the second market sellers, but modern technology makes it possible to leave them out of the game if the artists want so. This is what Radiohead did at their last tour, for example.

I am not a huge fan of Bruce. There are a lot of records that he made that I love. Others not quite so. His live set in the 70s was truly great. Not so fond of his show in the last 30 years. Saw him 3 times in this time frame and in two occasions I left 1 hour earlier.

I don't know much on Bruce's political opinions. But every time I hear him interviewed, he comes out as a very interesting person.

Of course it is all very subjective. A very good friend of mine, with over 100 Bruce shows already seen, is happy to pay whatever to see more!

Going to Philadelphia show this weekend. My 19th show of his (I think). Already seen a couple on this tour already. While it’s disappointing we’re not getting typical night to night changes I still leave having had a very good time. But if there was a one and done Springsteen tour, this is the one

While there's even less variety this year compared to the last 3, honestly there hasn't been much variety the last decade. At least to the scale he was. Its unrealistic for it to have kept going, but Broadway was obviously the same every night for like 2 years, and then since the band has returned in 2023, there were very few changes night to night (though when you broaden that to a tour the numbers can look like he did semi usual business). But far cry from anything 1999-2016.

Yes it’s nowhere near 1999-2016. Europe 2023 had a couple things getting thrown in and then late 2023 before the ulcer he was starting to open it up. 2024 was very good. Not to the level of past tours but he surely played enough variety to keep it interesting. 2025 fell off because of the political theme and this year is truly just copy/paste
