...A quote from Backstreets:

Quote

I know for a fact that they are testing and need to pass in order to resume touring, per a conversation in KC with a tour insider person re Jake. Until “the line” in the Covid test disappeared for Jake, he was not allowed to return. As a matter of fact, he was still in Austin when they played the KC show. There were crew members still in Dallas for the same reason.

[backstreets.com]

After the 15 min self tests initially weren't very reliable they increased their sensitivity, and now they're so sensitive that the infection indication line can take a while to go away. Your remaining viral load can be so low that you're not really infectious to other people anymore, but with even low levels of residual virus the test still shows positive. If it's Bruce, which it probably is, I hope and expect they're using a more sophisticated and discerning measure of readiness to return than the 15 min self-tests.

Still no word on who is ill, and from what type of illness.

And they don't need at all to tell us about personal health issues, even if shows gets postponed.

That would be correct.

True, though they did say there was an illness, and the story is being reported in multiple news outlets.

That's all they have to say. Give a reason for the postponement. They don't have to say which illness it is or who's ill.

True, though it's being speculated here and elsewhere that it is in fact covid. As far as I know, there has been no confirmation on the illness one way or the other, or who is actually ill.

Illness IS the reason. If you don’t want to know THE illness or WHO is ill, what OTHER perspective of illness do you want?

Read on BTX that Philly show on Thursday seems to be on. Trucks are at the Wells Fargo arena parking lot.

“TRUCKS are at the Wells Fargo parking lot”

Appreciate the suggestion, but it’s doubtful Derek Trucks can fill in for the Boss

I’d imagine this clip is the closest that we’ll ever get to an answer

[twitter.com]

That’s a clip of a spokesperson from Live Nation speaking about it and he says he, before very quickly changing to they and clarifying that the band doesn’t want to say who, etc, though later says he again.

Now, yes, almost all of the E Street band members are “he” but to this guy, I’d imagine it’s Bruce and E Street. The band members might as well be instruments in Bruce’s closet, as I highly doubt he knows them by name.

With that context, I think this is an honest slip and tells you that Bruce likely has/had some sort of illness that prevented him from playing the last few shows.

I strongly encourage you NOT to order from Nugs.net.

Delays, NO customer service, etc.

I finally received my CDs from the Atlanta show and have got to say the quality of both performance and recording is exceptional. The Stones may want to consider doing this.

That said, they do NOT need to promise the show will ship within 10 days.

Trapped was a highlight of the show I saw. The setlists seem to be shrinking as the tour goes along.

The general consensus is that US is just warmup for Europe, as it usually has been.

Interesting to see how much the setlists actually do open up over here. There's going to be cities with double or triple shows, and that's when he's especially been known to mix it up.

His current sound? Are you talking about his voice? Or how the band sounds?

Could be due to the recent mystery "illness" that caused the postponement of three shows, not to mention the covid that's been wreaking havoc on the band since the tour began.
Whatever the case, good to see the tour continuing despite the numerous setbacks, but at this rate the setlist might be down to just three or four tunes by the time this tour is over.

Reportedly the postponed shows or the illness were never mentioned during the Philly show.

Anyhow, most shows on this tour have clocked at 2 hours 45 minutes so far, I think the longest one was 2:50. Last night was 2:40. That's one or two songs less.
