Ah, covers? Anyway - so looking forward to tomorrow!!!

Could be quite good. Those type songs have always been great in the live show.

This is off-topic re: Bruce, but Billy Joel was just announced for BST Hyde Park on July 7. That's the Friday night between the two Bruce Springsteen shows there, so you can bet Bruce is going to guest with Billy Joel. Or maybe vice versa? They've been known to share a stage before.

Super! Never heard that song before. Great way to go. No Mustang Sally and those worn out hits.

I've only ever heard of What Becomes of the Broken-Hearted. This is not a typical covers album. I'm actually looking forward to this now. Bruce, to me, though is rather odd looking in his old age. Like about half of him has been sucked out of his body. Is it just me?

Plastic surgery? He does look a bit odd, for sure.

No Photoshop used in those videos. Maybe a hologram.

He's not quite as thin in the videos as he is in that photo.

Maybe, but he still looks weird on a video I saw of him and Obama.

Do we have this obsession with the looks of any of The Stones? Or just Bruce? Looked in a mirror lately? I’m scared when I do myself!

The song actually sounds ok. Nothing earth shattering, but ok.

Oh, just Bruce winking smiley

And yeah, I'll let the music do the talking when the album comes out next month. Don't really care whether he dyes his hair or not.

Appears that his head is inflating while his body is shrinking...unusual...like a human hot air balloon....

As for his cover of Frank Wilson's Do I Love You? I do love the classy original, but this version is sort of pointless imo.
I guess if you like Bruce's vocals in the first place (which I don't) it's an OK cover, but he sort of violates it with his grunt-like bellowing.
There's a lot of songs on that album list that are already absolute classics imo, and hate to imagine Bruce desecrating them, but maybe it will help open his fans eyes to some of the golden oldies.

Nope, I don't really care about that either. smiling smiley All I said is I thought he looked thinner in those cover photos than he did on the videos.

And hey, if he's really slimmed down, good for him. Means he's getting ready for the tour!

Last night, Bruce joined The Killers on stage for a few songs.

Yeah, that first single is unfortunately lacking in exactly what the project is supposed to be all about - soul. Apparently it's basically his producer Aniello playing every part with some horn overdubs and the vocalists. Makes sense that they initially recorded the songs this way, as this was created during a lockdown, but I don't get why he didn't bring in a band to redo it later on. Little Steven clearly has the edge on Bruce in this department, his soul record from a few years ago sounds miles better.

Just saw a video of Bruce performing with The Killers last night and he looked in great shape though, nice to see.

I think I actually prefer the film version of Western Stars to the album version. I'm usually a big fan of his acoustic stuff, but IDK for some reason this one didn't hit with me, but the orchestral versions sound better.

I'm with you on that one. I'd almost rather see him tour something like that than with E Street band. Cost would probably be prohibitive though if it happened.

Maybe after the next E Street tour.........and with the Covers having that big backing band, he could incorporate those songs as well, perhaps!
