Indeed. Just a fantastic night!

After listening to the free Chicago boot, I was worried that age was catching up with Bruce. His voice sounded thin and winded throughout and his trademark rasp was mostly gone.

Guess he just need to get a few shows under his belt, because he was more like his old self last night. He's definitely slowing down, no question about it, but he still crowdsurfed and pulled two women up onstage for Dancing in the Dark.

A third woman had a sign to dance with Roy "the Professor" Bittan, and he led her over to the piano and he danced with her. Very cute moment.

Aside from the entirely of The River, we got Cover Me, No Surrender and Bobby Jean off of Born in the USA, and She's the One.

I always hope for Jungleland, but I think that song will be played extremely sparingly going forward without Clarence.

According to Aiken Promotions,the two shows for Croke Park, 5/27 and 5/29 sold out this morning in a few hours time. 82,000 tickets for each show.

Interesting how it seems Bruce is a bigger deal in Europe now. He's playing way bigger venues over there & selling out faster. After listening to a few shows from this tour, I'm going to go for tickets today for the Seattle show. Pretty small arena. I like the more stripped down E Street Band. Tapes I listened to weren't that far sound wise from the 1980 River shows I saw. Lot of Little Steven, which is a fine thing. Wish me luck!

Nils usually has one song in the set where he gets to go off and do his whirling dervish berserker routine. In the past, it's been Youngstown, but he was fantastic on Because the Night.

He moves remarkably well for a guy who's had both hips replaced.

Bruce has usually always made an effort to keep prices low, but my GA floor seat was $154. The scary thing is that's a reasonable price compared to what other comparable classic rock acts charge nowadays (U2, Stones).

That's the only drawback of a band that varies their setlists night to night so frequently...sometimes you miss the songs you'd kill to hear.

First time I ever heard it; the same for Atlantic City. I've never heard Darkness. I wish I had devoted more resources to following Bruce around. Mick has always come first.

I saw The E Street band 3 times between 2002 and 2008, but sadly they never played Jungleland.

The first and only time I got to see it was in 2012 at Foxboro Stadium...it was the first time playing the song in America since Clarence had died. Jake did a great job on the solo but I wish I'd seen it just once with Clarence.
