It would be fine if they release ONCE AND FOR ALL mocambo and knebworth!
The From The Vault series is video, some sets have CD's too, so El Mocambo(which wasn't filmed) won't be part of Vault series. The BBC erased or recorded over two hours of the Knebworth concert leaving the one hour of film that we have had for years!
Sorry, but not true..Knebworth 76 audio is complete and video is complete. There was even thought about releasing it a year or two ago.
True though that El Mocambo was not film, even at my suggestion that they should have filmed it back in 1977.
Good news for Knebworth 76. A long setlist at that show.

No that version is awesome! Such energy and while it's not very rehearsed it still rocks like hell. Satisfaction from Knebworth is also an amazing version, better any version performed in previous years. I love everything about Stones live in 1976 best tour of it's decade.

Only some tracks are very good, some tracks are very messy. Never I heard such a chaotic LSTNT. Then there are some feedback thunderstorms on Hot Stuff and Hey Negrita. On some tracks (one or two) there are drop outs of the vocals. It would be no advantage to have that in my opinion. Maybe a shortened edition with the good tracks.

The article quotes Brett Morgen who is the man behind this release and also of course Crossfire Hurricane and he says the following "If you go to the Rolling Stones archive, you enter a refrigerated room the size of four football fields. There's a room with props, there's a room where they keep their masters, there's a film vault.....'

<snip>"MSG 1969-The Rolling Stones Live in Concert" to be released in theaters first followed by home video release (not part of "From The Vault" series.)
Please advise where you get the info regarding the 69 film ? Sounds too good to be true. Thanks
Until thkbeercan or someone else clears that up I would take it as only a wish list!

not in this particular order.....
Paris 1976, Atlantic City 1989, New Jersey or Miami 1994, Japan 1995, St. Louis or LIVE At The 10 Spot 1997. An extended "Stripped" is also a possibility.
ABKCO & Rolling Stones joint venture 2 DVD set of music videos similar to Beatles "1+".

From The Vault also included Brussels with the Japanese Marquee set. So it isn't really accurate to say that the series is only video.Quote

Crawdaddy 1963
If it's a 2cd set with Bill's Radio Luxembourg acetate and the full Curly Clayton acetate then we have a winner.
Am I correct in thinking that the Crawdaddy reel is owned by Mick and his brother Chris has a copy of the Curly Clayton acetate ?
As Bill owns the Radio Luxembourg acetate and Luxy is defunct, could they not combine all these with some more Little Boy Blue snippets and cut out ABKCO altogether ?
Historically that would be a quite brilliant release. They could always chuck on the IBC acetate again and a few of the early composing demos like the one written and sung by Brian too.
Might prompt ABKCO to get off their arse and do something with the Stones 60s studio output coz I'm assuming everyone here wants a super deluxe Beggars which should feature a lot more studio work than the extremely tight fisted selection delivered on the Sticky Fingers set.
I'd be happy with an official FLAC download of all that.

I think it's Mick that has the Curly Clayton acetate but the whereabouts of the Crawdaddy footage is unknown.
VideoJames (James Karnbach) wrote this in these pages earlier this year:
"I have only seen two stills from the film, but I did locate it though. Giorgio (Gomelsky) hired/asked me to help find it Back in the 70's. I went to London with a letter from Giorgio saying I was authorized to obtain the film for him. Well after some crazy wild places I had gone to. I located the film. But do to unforeseen circumstances , I could not bring the film back to Giorgio. While over in London I also located a film with Charlie Watts from a 1961 gig. Now I'm not sure if I can ever get the film back to Giorgio it may be to late. To go so far and to be so close was really very upsetting to me. Had I known earlier what I found out when I got there, I most likely would have the film today!!"

A reel to reel tape was bought at Christies auction in 2004 of the Stones playing at the Crawdaddy. Not all 14 songs were complete but a few were.
I think (?) Mick bought it but could be wrong.
The Gomelsky tape is something else altogether.
