The only posts I delete are those posts who are political, religious or offensive in some way. Some people started a fight on the "Paris" thread and those posts were NOT about Paris so I took them away. Feel free to post anything within the IORR policy.
If you have been around here for years then I am sure you know that 99.9% stay, and you would also know what 0.1% I do delete, because someone else on IORR has taken offence and reported it. And if I deleted one or two posts too many, harmless posts, by accident, then feel free to post again, given it is not political or religious...
PS. A post is just a post. It may be re-posted. It is not like I killed your cat or something. If I were to take these "where are my posts" discussions every time something was deleted, when some started or maintained a fight here on IORR, with or without accident, I would have to close down IORR completely, which is not the plan yet. I have a normal life too, outside IORR. Don't take every post of your seriously. If it was submitted to New York Times may be they would have rejected it too.

This is the weirdest thread ever.
you can simply never click on the IORR link anymore and then it will disappear from your life, as if you never heard of the place. In effect, you can ban yourself.
Instead, you keep posting obsessively about your desire to not be here anymore.

Delete them all yourself!
Waste your own time, not the moderator's time or our time.
You'll have to use "edit" on one post at a time. Erase whatever text you want, then "save changes".
And when you're finished with that, you can write something so offensive that the moderator bans you permanently... then you're done.

That's also my take on this....if you want to change history do it your self................
And if you don't want to post anymore.....(which is a pity)........ just close the door silently and please don't slam it I got a headache
Come on HighwireC take a rest and join in a couple of weeks................

This thread is turning into a Python sketch...
And HighwireC reminds me of Eric Idle in the "dirty fork" skit :

Perhaps you could contract out DandelionPowderman to do the job for you?
Seriously, I don't know why anyone would think it was the moderators responsibility to delete all your posts, that requires a bit of time and effort but I can't understand why someone couldn't have their account deleted if they requested it. But I do think such requests should be made to Bjornulf via email instead of a public post, only he is going to be able to help you out. Perhaps an "everybody please report me" post would do the job if you insist on such a public event.
I guess that's a backhanded compliment, being called a genius in a misspelled comment.Quote
