Whenever I would buy bootlegs back in the day, I would always sample Tumbling Dice to use as the benchmark for the quality of the recording.

If you pay attention to the snare you will notice that some snare hits sound like flams because the two drum takes are not always 100% in sync at any time (which is not possible since it’s a human performance). Same with the fill ins (e.g. at 1:32 and 1:35)

I'll give it a listen with the stereo and then headphones. My vinyl of EOMS is horrible so I'll be listening to the Virgin MADE IN THE SHADE CD most likely to get the best results but just listening to it on my laptop I noticed what you said, where the snare hits aren't on - and thought about how I never thought about that over the last, well, since REWIND came out on vinyl and CD, which is when I discovered that Start Me Up has a cowbell in it - no idea why I didn't hear it on the original album - and thought it was amazing that they were able to record a dog bark in the beginning of Slave, which decades later I finally figured out it's Keith's fingers dragging on the strings.

That performance was on heroin it started so slow. Hilarious, Mick kicking Ronnie. Ronnie's solo, with exception to 1978, stayed in that mold up through the BRIDGES tour, with the beginning of his main frame starting in 1989, the closest he'd played it to 1975-76. The VOODOO tours might've been his peak. Ever since the 1997-99 tours he's slopped it up, similar to his Start Me Up solo.
