Certainly one of the very best interviews ever with Keith.

Keith and Matt getting on so well, and both probably talking about a favourite subject made this interview what it was.

SO MUCH FUN! I want to see the outtakes! I think something that all future hosts/interviewers need to learn from this one is: KEEP AN ACCOUSTIC GUITAR WITHIN ARMS REACH OF KEITH RICHARDS AT ALL TIMES. You know, "just in case". I'm sure that, just like with this interview, many hosts have been told that "Keith Won't Be Playing" and they just accepted that as a condition of him being on the show. Imagine if there would have been a guitar within arms reach on the Tonight Show or the Late Show. Or an extra electric plugged into a tweed over near the band. Possibly we wouldn't have as many posts of, "Why couldn't he play a song" and may have a few more "How cool was that?!?"

I am sure Jane Rose is behind the 'he won't be playing' nonsense. I suggest lighten up and let Keith decide. Matt is one lucky bastardo! This is what happens when you let things go with the flow. And talk with Keith about what matters most; guitars and music!

Well to be fair what Mr Sweeney said was "we were told he probably won't play"
and whether he feels like it or not probably depends on a lot of factors.
If I were working for Keith I'd rather have people go in not expecting things Keith may not want to do.

definitely. or it could just be the guy creating tension and excitement around the moment when keith picked the guitar up.

I have a thing called download helper which did the trick (on Firefox, but it seems to be available for other browsers) You get the video running and then there's a menu for what qualities of DL are available to you for this video. Google will find it for you.
