As we know the tour starts in America. The European fans will have to wait till summer 2006. Are you going to not look at any footage of the show to keep the setlist and so on a surprise or are you going to just look at everything.
On the Licks tour I tried to keep myself from looking at video's and stuff.
Anything I can get my hands I'll listen to it. Same goes for the album. Now we've heard four songs. If any more come through before september I'll surely be listening. I can't wait.
I also try to get my hands on everything. I'm listening to the two extrats from My sweet Neocon and Let me down real slow and i'm loving it! Can't wait for the boot of the clubgig from last night!!!!!!
I too will get my hands on whatever I can find - safe in the knowledge that by the time they make it to Europe they will have dumbed down the setlist to nothing but warhorses again.

are you kidding? I'm looking for the Phoenix show NOW!
Cant imagine having to wait for 100 shows over 10 months and then playing catch up for all the recordings and DVDs afterwards
I will enjoy reading all the great reports and reviews on i.o.r.r, and looking forward to European ticket sales, later this year, and the actual dates in the summer of '06.
I know exactly what you mean.... I always try to avoid watching and hearing too much about the show, the setlist, the stage and all that stuff, before attending my first live show... just to keep myself kind of virginlike when I go to see my first show..... That worked fine until the Voodoo Lounge tour....which was the last time i did not know the setlist on my first VL show. But since the internet got kind of normal business...to me it started with babylon...I cant avoid hearing the latest news about the Stones.
Once they are rolling I try to findout anything I can get. It is not possible to avoid the internet for such a long time.
I turn it around the other way instead. My first liveattendance will be next summer probably... but the tour did start yesterday for me....I will monitor the internet day by day...show by show...by visiting the following sites like RS.com..IORR..Shidobee..Stonesnews.com..Rocksoff..Higwhire and all the other stuff daily I am able to be with the Stones for about a year, before I will be able to go and see them personaly. And I love to discuss all that Stoneshype with you hardcore guys out there.
I would get itchy hands and feet if I would not look to IORR or rs.com or stonesdoug. This time I was not able to resist at all and make it over the ocean to see some Westcoast concerts. For me it seems quite a few people make they way to the States out of Europe. OK the ticket prices are horrendous and the distribution is very I would say "strange" for me. But it will be fun to meet all the people from the Licks Tour which came over to Europe.
Well - spending a bit money going to the States and see the Stones - why not?
You can combine it with a vacation, it's not that expensive to take the airplane, you can get cheap hotels, cheap restaurants, cheap car rental, and combine it with cheap shopping..... (the prices are much lower than in Europe - at least Denmark)....
Can I persuade my wife that she needs a shopping trip to New York? Probably, but then how do I broach the subject that "of look, apparently the stones will be in NY at the same time as we're there! Shall we go see them instead of the romantic meal you were talking about?".
Perhaps a bit of Christmas shopping in Houston would be better!
I think I'll wait until Europe 06 and max out then.
I have my Stones and she has her shopping, and both of us have a "romantic" Stones night at Soldier Field....
The only thing, I had to promise was: If Garth Brooks goes on a tour again, it is me that gets the Shopping and she Garth Brooks ...... fine with me....

Charter tours from Europe to the US now (esp. NY and to some extent Florida) are extremely cheap/price-worthy now, note that!!

I'm gonna get the CD as soon it comes out and it would'nt help if it said "don't open 'till x-mas" on it. That goes for the rest of bits & pieces on the net, i can put my hands on.
