Ok I think I'm getting the picture now, Lisa is the singer closest to us and Sara Dash is the one next to Bernard. For some reason I thought it was Darryl in the picture. Duh.

Who is going to be playing bass for these songs? Obviously they are missing the rehearsal.

As far as why there may be a second fret capo for Harlem shuffle...maybe just a different key since it's not Mick singing it. Whatever key works best for whoever is taking lead vocal duties.

You can play Gimme Shelter in open g with a capo at the second fret, but i don't think Keith does that.

That guitar is always in open G. HS and GS are not.

He played it with a capo at the third fret this year though...

Yeah, but I guess there is always the possibility he's dropping it another 1/2 step (again). I will be disappointed if Happy is the tune, we've heard it far too often this year and that's a bit of a cop out, imo

Perhaps we will get one from CH! Perhaps Dandie might know which tune(s) from that record is played open G but the key of A.

Surely not Happy NL. Not with all those new songs to play confused smiley

If I had a pick tonight from CH, it would be 'Nothing On Me'
Back up singers the same, I know nothing about all the guitar-speak, but hanging on every word of you detectives...

Yeah! The capo might be on the third fret. I must be tired smiling smiley

I think you're right, as Keith moved it down to the third fret on the ZC tour.

EDIT: No, it's on the second fret confused smiley

Did the Winos do Happy in A when they toured? I think they did. Then the fans probably get Happy tonight.

A question for our guitar experts: on this 2003 version of Happy isn't the capo on the same position as we can see on that photo? [www.youtube.com]

Don't be so sure guys, Happy doesn't seem to fit for an event like this one. It is a tribute and it seems in poor taste to play this self referential standard we have all heard so much.

Which if any songs from CH are played in open G in the key of A? Anyone?

True Naturalust - even though Happy is my all time favorite Keith tune (studio version), it doesn't come to mind in the context of this event.

Still anyone's guess imo.

edit: Come to think of it, Happy is in my top 5 greatest Stones tunes ever.

I'm still hoping for Lover's Plea... It's in A, but it changes the key in the chorus. It would fit Keith's "YCAGWYW-sound"

Don't have to be a guitar expert to see that. Killer live version of Happy Cristiano, that lower key works well for him. Thanks for posting.

one would think his selection of songs would be less about selling his new album and more about tributing merry clayton and following the theme of "a great night in harlem".
i'd love to hear something off crosseyed heart but i don't think it's guaranteed. i do believe it will be great though!
