So I preordered Keith's new album from his web site, got the email about it being back ordered and so we went and got it at the local record store. I was debating keeping my order with Keith's site because my wife wanted the chance to get one of the signed records. But we cancelled our order. So yesterday we get home and there is a package on our doorstep and what is it, Keith's new album signed. No records, just the album case itself, but signed by Keith.


As you can imagine we are quite happy!

I talked to a girl from his web site and asked if Keith would still be signing some records and she said yes but couldn't guarantee I'd get one. She knew we already bought the record and were considering getting another, but then I asked her to cancel the order. He dated the autograph as well putting a little '15 under his name.

And yes, getting a frame for it today! I'll post a pic!

Not sure but I cancelled my order and got my money back and I already bought the record so we have the vinyl. So this was a nice little treat that they sent us.

Don't really care if its auto pen or not, we don't collect these things for the value with the intent to sell them. Just something cool to hang on the wall.

Yep, everybody who got a signed LP sleeve got the sleeve only b/c the vinyl hadn't been pressed yet when Keith signed. The guy who runs Keith's website told me that the vinyl has now hit their warehouse and will be shipping starting next week. I bought on his website the LP and twice the cd to get all the extra stuff (T-shirt, hoody and plectrum box) and got nothing signed, but someone who actually canceled his order got a signed album cover...?
There is no logic at all. Maybe I should sent everything back to get one too?

I read a couple articles on how to spot auto-pen autographs and looked at my signed sleeve with a magnifying glass to see if I could tell. I'm like 90% sure that this isn't auto-pen. There are a couple of places where he started and stopped again (the vertical line of the K, the loop of the R) and several places where the ink isn't applied evenly, especially in the loops on the S, where he wasn't pressing as hard. Auto-pen signatures shouldn't have abrupt starts and stops or uneven application of ink. I think Keith really did sit down in Jane's office with a pen and a bunch of sleeves and CDs and got fed nuclear wastes til the job was done. Because Keith loves his fans and is the best!
