Roundhay is a lot better than I expected, mainly because the band is hot and lathered up from touring for two years. It really is the end of that mid-period Stones. They would never play as well again, with only the No Security Tour coming close to past glory.

That would be a feast.
Love the audio and a DVD of that marvelous show would be great.

what is the deal with Leeds 1982 ?what is the deal of all of the facial close ups of the Stones ? I watched the first half hour and had to stop because Keith and Ronnie are rocking out and all i can see is there faces and not what they are doing on there guitars .Ditto for Bill Wyman .This does not look like a Hal Ashby directed product?

The film is aken from the video feed of the big screen during the show.

I thought it was cool getting a different type of filming myself, but to each their own..

Is it possible to get the Tokyo release anywhere, or do we have to wait for it to be re-released?

Finally allowed myself to open my
Vault 1982 Leeds/ Roundhay Park (and what's it referred to Leeds or Roundhay?)
Saving DVD,
slipped CD's into car, alone, now I've always loved JMI cover,
whether it be the musical jam or Mick declaring he wants to have kids with me
(my imagination)
Loved 2015 Zip covers cause he said fuccking, Mick got potty mouth in Zip, adding
'low down nasty time' to my SD 'Miss You' song in front of me and my knees buckled, I digress,
VAULT LEEDS 1982 'Just My Imagination'
is the best damn version. Period. WOW.

Better thank Hampton '81?

I am not familiar w/ the Leads version so I will have to check that out.

Nothing beats the Detroit '78 version IMO.

In that case: Thank you, Hampton 81!
I'm awaiting the arriving of my Leeds 82 even as we type.

35love, did you hear the November 25th 2012 rendition of I Wanna Be Your Man?
The Mick threw in an "I wanna be your motherfkcr baby" like he'd been waiting 49 years to sing it that way :E

I agree. An absolute guitar onslaught. Fantastic version! One of my favs. I prefer 78s version from 81 as the sax became more prominent in the 81/82 versions.

I will say the Detroit version from the Zip tour was very similar to the 78 version...and was incredible!

Ah, thanks :-). Need to look up live '78 version again (my utube was down last night) and 'I want to be your man' 2012 Mick swearing like a mo-fo. Give me the foul mouth pissed off Jagger, lol.
Love the 1982 Vault Leeds. 1981 Hampton too, this live era extra special period.
Still haven't watched the DVD yet. xxoo

Hampton, but the second version from the 19th.
It´s the Still Life version, but unedited. Just perfect.

I listened to Still Life JMI today, doesn't sound nearly as good as Leeds '82, JMI. And that's JMO ;-)
So far disc 1 CD of Leeds '82 is killer. Long, long jams, YCAGWYW made me smile the whole way thru today in the car.

ETA: Still thrill w/ '15 Zipcode JMI
Jagger yelling:
'She doesn't fuccking know me!'

Those are some of the most awesome daytime pyrotechnics ever captured on film

I think they both have their merits. Black Limousine on Hampton is killer, and they sound looser, if that's what you want, on Hampton. I really like Roundhay '82 for its strength, but near the end I stopped watching the DVD as they smashed into the warhorses.
