Even if his name are Lucas, Peter, Diane or something else, how about leaving out all speculation before he will get tired of yer all and stop providing information???
Let the guy speak and then we will see if it turns out correct in the end.

Pretty sure mpj has a sense of humor or I wouldn't have razzed him. He also knows I credit him with being the first person to break the news they were recording in London last December.

Humour indeed. Just nothing new to say, really. But nothing has changed either.

Ya... you and Georgelicks seem to be 'in the know' as much as anyone can be around The Stones and their known secretive circle.
I'll ask because nobody has to you .. Do ya know anything about their all new material (style...quality ....etc) ..or what have ya heard in regards to it? Anything down the grapevine?

My life can be complete if EC makes the trip to the Desert in October to debut the new tracks.

Would no doubt be a highlight among many at Desert Trip, just as his appearance(s) on the new Stones will be THE highlight(s). I imagine him unleashing some classic vintage EC solo's that will be extroardinary. Sadly, great guitar solos have been MIA from Stones records since the golden MT years - give or take a couple nice ones from Wayne Perkins and Harvey Mandel c. '76. The inclusion of Clapton gives me hope.

Well this was known a bit back, the speculation that he'll join the tour is conjecture. Eric has had a bout with some health problems but perhaps "joining" The Stones would be less stressful. The loss of Bobby Keys makes this double urgent, the new sax guy is just occupying space, not to be cruel but The Stones lost star power when Keys departed. RIP..

excellent.
They are, but I think we're talking about big, screaming, ecstasy-inducing electric guitar solos.Quote

To me they are both great, for different reasons

When I think about the chills that STILL go up my back when I listen to the solos in Comfortably Numb or Stairway to Heaven for the thousandth time...I only get feeling that with the Stones from the MT years.
I'm not saying the Stones need that sound...they're not a guitar hero band, but it WAS a benefit of the MT era that's mostly gone missing.
