But he made up a new rap at the start of part 1.

True, but it fell flat and had nothing to do with the lyrics in part 1, imo.

Ha ha... It is pretty cheesy, but at the same time I think it's kind of cool.

I think Indian Girl is a treasure, the arrangement and pedal steel by RW make the great vibe, I always think of Blinded by Love from SW has the same vibe.

Has the emotional rescue album got any redeeming features, or is it merely disappointing??

actually...you need to be (emotionally) rescued from your disappointing post.

I think it's a fun album but didn't really go in any new directions. It's kind of like SOME GIRLS 2.0. I was never a huge fan of the song "Emotional Rescue."

It certainly was one of their worst albums up until then, when it came out. Still, it has a couple of really great songs on it.
Unfortunately, it set the template (or rather, continued that template from Some Girls) for the endless series of imitation punk rockers à la Lies, via Summer Romance and Where The Boys Go, through Fight, Sad Sad Sad, right up to Rough Justice and Oh No Not You Again. Not all bad songs but really, the most rudimentary of styles they could have adopted.

I hope all those numbers are negatives. Where the boys go is a 10? Yeah it’s right up there with Monkey Man and Can’t You Hear Me Knockin

Yes a let down after Some Girls for sure. To me this album is like great b-sides. It’s fun that way

Everything Is Turning to Gold would've been the best song on the album if they'd held it over.

It´s cool. Just listen to it with headphones...it´s just Another World...

For me, one of their best works, superior to many emblazon albums.
