Unless I've missed some recent posts, does anyone know the sales figures for Bill's album? Georgelicks, are you reading this?

Does anyone rate it highly?

I like "What & How & If & When & Why".
The rest is not my cup of tea.
Maybe I´m the only one, but to be honest, I think it´s garbage.

Sales? No idea. I guess some 800 copies worldwide.

It debuted at #103 in the UK selling about 800-900 copies the first week and then it went out the following week, so no more than 1200-1500 copies there.
It didn't chart at all anywere except the UK.

Wyman´s solo work is hard to bear.

But his Stones basslines are priceless!

he's made hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on this release!

I haven't given it much of a chance except for downloading "What & How & If & When & Why". I really like the bass line on that.

I listened to a couple of songs but i didn't like his voice. Maybe I have to try harder. He sounded like Leonard Cohen on those songs; not really singing, not really talking.

I'm not liking the vocals either.

Like I said I listened to Bill's new record again and it sounds better the second time. I also listened to his other records and that is the way Bill has always sang. He is not a "lyrical" singer for sure. Bill has a very monotonous voice which fits his laidback persona but he compensates that lack of lyricism by creating great melodic bass lines. Keep on rocking Bill!
Rock and roll,
Mops

This editorial is good enough for me. His book was useless as well. But he was a great bass player.
