These solos have one thing in common, they are very melodic.

slashs "sweet child of mine" is just brilliant. not many solos come to my mind where the guitarplayer really tells a story. it's so melodic, the phrasing, the tone and attitude are absolutely outstanding. the build up to the climax...genius!

although i'm not a big fan of the band i'd say that the "hotel california" solo is pretty perfect too.

Yes, and Rikki Don't Lose That Number. So odd, and yet so apt, that there are so many tasty guitar solos on records masterminded by a couple of jazz-minded yacht rockers.

And even Walter Becker plays a great guitar solo at Bad Sneakers.
