Re: OT : Don Was (Not Was) - 2016 NAMM TEC Awards

Nice.

It's also a bit like those spy novels, where they have to look up a certain letter in a
certain line on a certain page. It fits the lyric well too!

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

Okay, I hope you all are a bit more relaxed now. So I can drop another one, I think
it's not too hard this time.

Legitimately supercilious about the foot of her Gruidae

Who's driving your crane?

OK, fishing for clues from our torturer here:

Gruidae are the crane family of birds. The foot could refer to an actual bird or maybe just the foot (i.e. the end) of a word?
Legitimately = legally, justifiably, rightfully, righteously?
Supercilious = arrogant, disdainful, condescending --> "put down"?

First clue:
60s
Jagger/Richard

And: Was it Brian's foot as well?

Sounds like it might be "Of her lineage she's rightfully proud" (Miss Amanda Jones) but I'm blowed if I can see how cranes come into it.

Yippie-aye-yay!
You solved it correctly, Green Lady. Congratulations and a well deserved weekend to you!

And I must say the Crane's foot is a bit of a long shot.
The word "pedigree" has its origin in the French words "pied de grue", which is Crane's foot.

As I understand it, the lines on a pedigree chart resemble the foot of a crane.
Well, from pedigree it's not too far to lineage, I guess.

Clue:

Locate a young female carrying frozen water from a distance.

Get a girl with far away eyes

Locate = get
Eyes = ice = frozen water
From a distance = far away

… only a deep affection’s lactating gland that’s no longer

REVISED CLUE:

… only a deep affection’s lactating gland of yore

Re: 'Which Lyric Am I?'
Posted by: marcovandereijk ()

This lactating gland brings up a lot of associations, but no lyrics so far.
Breasts - Let it bleed? This place is empty? Champagne & Reefer?
Tits - Little T&A? O no not you again?

Breast of yore...Breasted? Busted? Boobed? Nippled?

Hi schillid,

Although I got the answer right I have to admit to not understanding what underbred has got to do with it.Would you mind enlightening me?
