They will probably start with HTW but I´d love to hear "Cloud" or "Sympathy" as the openingnumber.. just think of the percussionintro they had on the 94-95 tour and then into Not fade away.. they could do the same now with charlies drums taking over with the drumintro from Cloud or the percussion could lead itself into Jaggers howling backstage before he comes out on the smokefilled stage with red lights and starts: "please allow me to introduce myself.."
surely it's gotta be Jumpin Jack Flash this time.......can't remember them ever starting with that one before.........it would certainly start the show off with a bigger bang...so to speak!

Ok I stand corrected......so if they start with something that they haven't started with before I will go along with Get off my Cloud I see they are rehearsing saint of me and out of control now according to shiddoobee
I'm one of the fans that happens to love Honkey Tonk Woman a lot still after all these years. I really would love that as the opening song, with one suggestion. Please Keith, play the opening Riff ( the one you do with one hand and only your guitar, no other instruments involved but the cowbells ) for at least 2 minutes. For that time only you on stage.
my guess would go to either You got me Rocking or Paint it Black.3
I always thought Sympathie would be a great opener but it would have to be dark for the light effects to really work so i don't think it will hapen (at least in Europe).
Rough Justice is one contender as the opening song and I think it'll be that one on the other hand Oh no not you again isn't that bad either. Think it'll be Start me up! Confusing isn't it how many songs they have to start an concert with!
I don't see HTW as a opener even though it has in the past my bet it will be (in the stadiums anyway) Satisfaction / JJF / Start Me Up / or Brown Sugar
They will start off with something every single person in the audience knows.
As much as I love Rough Justice, they shouldn't open a show with a brand new tune. I've never seen Honkey Tonk Women fail to charge up a crowd. Everyone knows the song, everyone loves the song. It worked well in 75, there is no reason why it wouldn't work in 2005. Hey, they are on a 30 year cycle....Brown Sugar 72 & 02....Honkey Tonk Women 75 & 05....if they tour in 08 we'll get Let It Rock.
how about On with the Show, it would be an amusing start to a concert
OR
dim the lights show the old B&W clip of Mick pondering the groups future when he said he doesn want to be 30(?) years old walking on stage with a cain singing Satisfaction.
Mick then walks out with a cain, tosses it aside and belts out Satisfcation.
HTW seemed quite slow - at least on LYL...., NFA didn't seem to be the best one either....
The opener must me a fast one to get people in the mood right from the start.....
So, Satisfaction, Brown Sugar, UMT, SFM, RJ....... would make good starters
Or what about Rip This Joint... the triology of RTJ, JJF, SFM (1973) - that would kick ass right from the beginning ...... and they would still have lots of songs for the end like Satisfaction, BS, SMU, YGMR, RO, IGW, GOOMC, LSTNT, 19'BD.....
brown sugar hasn't been an opener since i've been seeing them since 81 tour..my bets are on BS and RJ..the new one is gutsy enough to be used in my opinion
