I Wanna Be Your Man was a truly memorable opener at the first 02 show in November 2012.

It was excellent. The first two chords were magic. Like "bang! Oh, they're really here!" smiling smiley

This is what setlist.fm tells me: (avg setlist)

63: Poison Ivy
64: Not Fade Away
69-71: JJF
72/73: BS
75/76 HTW
78: LIR
81/82 UMT
89/90 SMU
94/95: NFA
97/98: Satisfaction
02/03: SFM/BS ...
Since then mostly: SMU/JJF

I found that Under My Thumb was a great and refreshing opener. Hope Mick has some new ideas about that. Maybe Paint It Black?

A part of Everybody Needs Somebody To Love was the steady opener in 1965. followed by Pain In My Heart after the first chorus.

A wonderful opener.

I listened to LA FORUM and thought: why not play ALL DOWN THE LINE as an opener? Easy, Keith probably gets it right more often than SMU and it rocks. Or even STAR STAR?

I saw the Zach Brown Band live last night for the first time. I only knew 2 of their originals not having been a big fan of country. Good music stands up for itself. The band was awesome. Great talent. I loved the show not having heard their music before. Stones should go deeper. Audience will still love the songs they haven't heard many times over. Stones deep tracks and talent shines and the audience will appreciate it.

ZB also did an amazing Gregg Allman tribute (Whipping Post) as well as covered Kings of Leon, Dave Mathews, Led Zep licks and maybe another one or two that I'm not recalling. I love Stones covering other's songs and here hoping for a Chuck Berry tribute.

Start with We Love You, and if you can't pull it off playing it live, at least use it as the intro music to create the right mood for the opening song - that's my advice, CAN YOU HEAR ME???

A bit more of the O2 2012 shows atmosphere, embracing the early years more than nowadays would definitely cause no harm.

Also agree about the O2-atmosphere. the first part of the setlist was tremendously well sequenced.

Just listening to Coming Down Again, i always wanted to know what this part of the lyric means.
If anyone can help i would appreciate it.

Slipped my tongue in someone else's pie
Tasting better ev'ry time
She turned green and tried to make me cry
Being hungry it ain't no crime

I'd love Little Queenie, as an opener or just part of the set. I went to see The Assasin's Bodyguard last night and it had a wicked fight scene with Berry's version cranked - you're really not supposed to dance during a fight, are you?

Yeah lol, i dance a lot funny enough, lots of silly copy cat Keef air guitar thrown in when i've had a few too many beers. But i can dance in a not silly way on occasion.

I was referring to the amount of fights that used to brake out on dance floors in clubs we used to go too. Newquay in Cornwall is really not one of the safest places to dance on a Saturday night. I'm happy to say the place has cleaned up its act over the last 20 years.

They played it to death 19, 20 years ago. I had LQ 12 or 13 times live. Anyway, no problem with Berry songs. I think Let It Rock would be a good opener, but maybe to obscure in those modern times. Or why not Roll Over Beethoven as second track (in case they didn't open with LIR)? These things worked pretty well in the 70's.

Around and Around used to be a show stopper in the early mid 60's shows.

Can we expect something from Their Satanic Majesties Request due to the release of the 50th anniversery release?
2000 light years from home? She's a rainbow?

Or do The Rolling Stones avoid it because it's an abkco release?
I'm not sure of their standpoint.

Berry's "Bye, Bye Johnny" fits the flow of a (stadium) show better, I'd say.

But I'll welcome any Berry 'cherry' - even if it's "My ding-a-ling"! smoking smiley

That would be great, but seemingly the re-release is all ABKCO, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Please put Miss You on the shelf. No covers. Deep cut tracks would be appreciated.
