These are the only ones that have warhorse potential in my opinion.

I'd define a warhorse a song which is also known by non Stones fans. Many people I know who aren't particular fans know the biggest hits such as Satisfaction, HTW, Angie or SMU. Asking them if they knew "newer" songs they can't say.
SMU was literally the last great successful single generating interest in the Stones also from people that hadn't been 'fans' so far.

Go and ask your friends, relatives if they knew "Love Is Strong" or "Flip The Switch" or "Rough Justice". I doubt they know. Hende, for me the last warhorse is SMU ... maybe "LIAGT" would come relatively close.

Some songs have gradually turned into warhorse-status.

Songs like SFM, MR and PIB were in and out of the set for a while, but are cemented in the setlist now.

These songs could easily have stayed in the set every night and worked as warhorses. imo:

Many of these have warhorse potential, or, at least, deserve more regular exposure on stage: Heart of Stone, It’s All Over Now, The Last Time, etc. Time is on My Side is, in my opinion, long overdue for a comeback. Why She’s a Rainbow – one of their most well-known numbers – is performed so sporadically, is a mystery, also.

If we're talking about '60s hits, this one needs reviving:

Saint of Me is definitely worthy of future performances. It was seemingly such a favourite during the Bridges to Babylon Tour, yet has only been performed twice on subsequent tours: both times in the Netherlands, during the European Leg of the Licks Tour in 2003.

The Last Time should definitely be a warhorse. Agree about SAR.

Why they NEVER do a proper version of this is beyond me...

Disagree. I think it is an alright creative 80's style re-interptetation, not like a typical nostalgic 'I hope this is enough close to the original that your grandmama recognizes it and is not hurt by it'.

Mick wasn't into pure nostalgia yet then.

Fully agree with you, Doxa. But this is Jagger solo, and some people here despise that per se, no matter what and whenever someone posts something positive about whatever Jagger solo subject - it's just a psychological thing that has nothing to do with the actual music, so in the end reacting to them is just wasted energy. Just the usual suspects doing their usual thing(y).

I never quite get that negativity. For me, 'Wandering Spirit' was a better album than 'Voodoo Lounge', as well as 'Main Offender'. That one-off concert he did to promote the album saw Mick at his most inspired.

Correct, Jimmy Rip! Never heard of him before that show, but I was so impressed that I looked him up after it. I even bought his solo album a couple years later, and if I remember correctly, Mick appears on a track or two, perhaps backup vox or maybe harp, I'll have to dig that up.

As well as a fine guitarist, he is a brilliant Producer (he was responsible for Jerry Lee Lewis' 2006 'Last Man Standing' album).

Not sure which billboard chart it was, but I’m 99% it wasn’t the Hot 100.
