That groove is not exactly different from Charlie. It's right in the middle of all the live versions anyone has ever heard.

Then you should listen more closely. Those off beat fills by Steve gives it a different feel. Charlie played it in a more straight fashion.

I’ve never understood why Keith insists on playing the opening riff when he butchers it every single time.
It’s a basic Chuck Berry offshoot that most beginners could play but he just starts off lazy and stays that way throughout the song.

Why not let Ronnie do most of the work on this one? He and Mick wrote the damn thing anyway.
It’s probably Keith’s massive ego, any song he didn’t write (i.e. Miss You)he tends to check out on.
It’s one of their biggest hits and it gets mangled when a little effort would make it a strong addition to the set.
Mick had to love torching that thing with the Foo Fighters on SNL.

I don't miss it and prefer and enjoy what they play instead.

With "Midnight Rambler" a musical highlight of the show for me. The musicianship shines in both pieces. In my eyes, those two belong together, first the core band shining, then the hired hands. Besides, being musically a pretty unique-sounding, "Miss You" offers nice variance to the show as well.

So I don't belong to the group of "we".

I have never watched or listened to Miss You, ( Ok played it a few times when i bought Some Girls ) toilet brake if I'm at the Shows, skip that track of its on a CD or Album, literary can't stand any of it but happy for you guys that love it.

Mick will never drop it from the setlist so not much point in starting a campaign, that's my pennies worth, now I'll get the haters telling me why it's so important to be played at every show forever.

Just my opinion guys, it's just one track.

It was a highlight at Madrid.

If some warhorses should be dropped or even just played at half of the shows. It would be Rambler, maybe Paint It Black.

And another thing, couldn't believe the drop in momentum Miss You caused the other night, so you never know, Mick will actually drop Miss You if he thinks it's wasted energy on the audience. Fingers crossed

Miss You won't be dropped. It's a üopular crowdpleaser.
I like the 78/81/82 versions and I was sirprised by the stripped version of 206, when they played it on thrir way to the B-stage.
And it's not bad to give Darryl Jones a dpot and chance to take off.

Funny you call "haters" those who actually like the song or who doesn't agree with your opinion.

Besides, I don't think the idea of starting a"campaign" for the band not doing something is the smartest idea. What's next: a campaign for the band to stop doing concerts (although reading some comments here that seems to be the hidden agenda)?

As much as I say 'leave it in', that is a good replacement option and I'd go for it.

Rather, I'd take a Miss You/Hey Negrita as a one-two punch. ADD HN and leave MY!
