Another suggestion for a nice Keith ballad would be 'Sleep Tonight' (in Charlie's honour, perhaps). Has Keith ever performed 'All About You' live?

Ronnie plays drums on Sleep Tonight, so...

They did All About You on the B2B-tour. Wouldn't mind if they did it again.

the question is :

"Before They Make Me Run" & "Slipping Away" has been TOO REPETITIVE IN THE LAST YEARS, they are great songs, especially "Slipping Away" (a top 10 stones for me---but only in STUDIO---)
KEITH, of course you can play what feels best, but I WOULD WIN A LOT WITH ALL FANS NEW AND OLD IF I CHANGED THESE
LET'S CHEER...

I think these are tributes to Charlie. BTMMR - another goodbye to another good friend - and Slipping Away - self-evident. It’s in keeping with past tours - after his mom passed, he included Just Wanna Hold You pretty much every show in the tour that followed. I’m hoping he keeps them through the tour.

Sad, and glorious at the same time, isn’t it? I know I’ll get weepy, just haven’t figured out how to blow my nose under a mask yet.

BTMMR was always one my favorites of his. The chords sound really good live when he is on. The ending is great when the drag it out a bit.

The 2017 tour was exclusively Happy & Slipping Away
Even then, they screwed up one of the songs a few times. I think it was Copenhagen they didn't know how to end Happy

In Perth in 2014 they didn’t know how to START Happy! Apparently, it’s a complex song!

Although I’ve had enough of the warhorses like many folks here, I felt quite refreshing when they played Satisfaction in the early part of the show of the VL tour and then as the show opener of the B2B tour. Can they do the same for the other warhorses if they want to keep them in the setlist? Obviously some careful consideration is needed to do so as such tactics may easily call for an anticlimactic running order of the songs played.

Would love if Keef played Thru & Thru especially in Nashville. I fear what Nashville’s set list will look like. They’ve been shaking it up in different venues and not played IORR since first or second gig. Would love it being skipped in Nashville. Would also love to hear the TY song. Ghost seems to really be the OOC song of this tour. Hoping BS is back in Nashville.

Request: Play Black Limousine!!

Since they are adding unexpected songs like Sad Sad Sad to their sets, I wish they would bring back "Black Limousine."

Why should they?

1. It's a Tattoo You track

2. It's co-written by Ronnie (He's performed it on solo tours) and could be introduced as such, giving him his own "star turn."

3. The whole looking back "We used to ride..." theme would connect with the audience at this stage of their lives.

4. Great blues-based mid-tempo rocker that could work well three or four songs into the set.

PLAY IT, GUYS!!

Yes, but in the right way? I don't think they want to be pegged as has-beens and remind themselves of that. Walk and don't look back...

Of course not. After all, it would be harsh to think that about any act who have played no less than three songs recorded within the last 40 years (Sad Sad Sad, Slipping Away, Living in a Ghost Town) out of the 35 performed on their current tour so far. winking smiley

Mick Jagger be like *oh, well, certain songs just don’t translate well into stadium shows*

Also Mick Jagger- proceeds to play a stadium show in a 7,000 seat venue.

Sure was great to here all the positve reviews of the recent tour. But I gotta say when I see this one in the set list i'm not a big fan, I think they could insert so many better songs even from the later years ...

One Hit to the body
Out of control
Rock & a hard place

or keep an old gem in there like Monkey Man, rocks off etc..

Thoughts?

But i'm just glad they still "go us rockin"

you won't feel alone about this on this forum.

I have to say that, though I am not mad about YGMR, it has grown on me and I must admit it works live and I understand why mick picks this once in a while instead of the songs you mention and many more

There's some good 'recently released' stuff that I would have liked for them to try...Criss Cross, Scarlet, All The Rage, Plundered My Soul, stuff from the Deluxe, hell I would have loved to have heard them give Easy Sleazy a workout, though I know Keith would never let that one fly.

But I had no expectations for any of that, so can't say I was disappointed.

But come on SLAVE...never been performed!

try being somewhat realistic with your choices.....not gonna happen at this point.
We'd all love to hear different things, but those days are over...that's why the web vote is rigged show after show
I loathed YGMR for years.....but somewhere along the way in the 2000's I just accepted that mick loves that song.....so I should too because they're gonna play it whether I like it or not

Sorry, but by now it doesn't matter. YGMR is sort of a modern day JJF. They like it and never make mistakes on it. I think it's wise to choose songs they can deliver on every time.

They will never cater to the 1% hardcore fans and not the 99% casual fans! My buddy lives in Tampa so he got really cheap scalper floor tickets and went with his wife and step daughter who is now in college. He's a huge fan and he said the step daughter liked the show but didn't know any of the songs!! I said not even Start Me Up?!

For me, Ronnies solo is the best thing about this song anytime I’ve seen it live.
