And that mway way too loud!

Rock'n'Roll died finally 24th of August 2021, with Charlie Watts - and woke.
That's so embarrassing. HATE IT. And it's so deeply sad sad sad.

But enjoy - on the level of mediocre TV shows at max - and much lower.
And please don't stop to give all your money to them - they really seem to need it!

I was gutted too, after being so excited by the show and then Brown Sugar dropped because of pandering to the Woke brigade really upset me today.

That's the world we are entering, giving into to a bunch of kill joys.

Plus i was looking forward to Steve Jordan speeding Brown Sugar up a notch, it's been played far too slowly in recent years.

Brown Sugar is so boring and tired. We've all heard it a million times.

Yes I agree, I wouldn't care if they never played it again.

Dispense with the "woke" BS! When they didn't play Start Me Up at the Fleet Center opening night in 2002, were you gutted because of the disrespect for dead men with ejaculation issues? A bit too much hyperbole....

During last tours they have madr it too long, excesively long, seven minutes
I like it less than four minutes. Even you get dpsce for another song

If it were me, I'd ask Darryl, Steve, Bernard, Sasha, & Karl "How do you all feel about this?" and see what they had to say. No idea if that happened, but would be interesting conversation.

Maybe Liz Jagger said "Dad, don't sing this anymore" ha

Maybe they read on here all the complaining about warhorses and tried to appease.

Brown Sugar could be great live but is really hasn't been that great for a long time.

In 1973 it was absolutely dynamite.

I hope the choice not to play "Brown Sugar" has nothing to do with Woke, but only is the result of Mick not feeling comfortable about singing it, without his feelings being provoked by that Woke phenomenon.

Edit: Spelling error

So, people complain and complain about a setlist of war horses and then one is not played and people complain about one not being played. So f'in what. Better to argue about covid vaccinations.

I'm OK with BS not being played, but I'd rather here BS than SMU or Miss You.

Generally thought, I like the small shakeup to the setlist.

It’s kind of funny to see people on various threads triggered over BS not being played for one show. Please explain how “the woke movement” is responsible for BS not being played last night? Other than an article in the Chicago Times before the 2019 tour, I can’t remember any real organized calls for the band the stop playing the song.

Like others have said, for all we know, they’re playing the song at the next stop. Or, maybe they had a conversation (which is what we all should be having) with their largely African American supporting members and came to the conclusion on their own.

I am not “woke” by any means, but I do have an open mind.

I hope they are not bowing to the woke. I'd rather they drop Sympathy, Miss You or Start Me Up. Brown Sugar is essential but I wouldn't be gutted by it not being played. There is nothing wrong with the song. Everyone knows the Rolling Stones are not racist in way shape or form. It is one of their signature songs that I think should be played and if I were a first time concert goer would want to hear it. But no I would not be gutted.

Well said, I couldn't agree more!

Jimmy Page joins Stones for Scarlet live?

Any possibility of this? Without rehearsals, probably next to impossible. Just hoping...

Slipping Away is so good now that it's become a staple, obviously.

I was hoping that with Steve Jordan in the mix, Keith would add Too Rude into his set since they have played it live together. But with the live version clocking in over seven minutes, I’m sure it would have been too long of a break for Mick.

The 2017 tour was exclusively Happy & Slipping Away
Even then, they screwed up one of the songs a few times. I think it was Copenhagen they didn't know how to end Happy

before they make me run is a must for me, I would also take wanna hold you or connection as well.....happy hasn't really sounded good a while now (to me)
if he feels the need to play a slow one slipping/the worst/or silver work best

Another suggestion for a nice Keith ballad would be 'Sleep Tonight' (in Charlie's honour, perhaps). Has Keith ever performed 'All About You' live?

That would be interesting. You Got The Silver is always welcomed, and Connection would be cool.
