A track taken from an album of Chuck's "Sea Level" 70's band?

C'mon Chuck it's time to take complete control of the Stones!

What could have captured the long moment up to now, would obviously have been to use "Living in a Ghost Town".

"Opening song"?

Easy! "Almost Hear You Sigh", that's the one song Jordan will play without a single glitch!

I'm thinking One More Shot as well...

And 99 percent of the people would say. “Never heard that song”

Yep. Opening with "What a drag it is, getting old!" would be so up front and disarming...and get the crowd going in a sing along like no other.

Follow it with "Let Spend The Night Together"

Though it’s not a traditional uptempo opener, I’ve always thought Tell Me (You’re Coming Back) would make a great opener or second number.

The lyrics explain why Mick and Keith are there, it’s on a bunch of compilation albums so many people know it, and performing it would be a tribute to bv.

Street fighting man is still the best opening song

dunno...loved Not Fade Away. Unexpected and inspired with that Bo Diddley beat.

I agree with Welda, SMU is a shoe-in given the 40th Anniversary release.

But my dream is Easy Sleazy, done in Stones-style which would have the majority of the crowd scratching their heads as they were bopping and a few diehards either screaming with delight or screaming in agony.

I find it funny that someone started a thread with this topic...um go back to the last 4 or 5 tours and there is your setlist.

How could they honor Charlie on this upcoming tour? That's a question constantly going through my mind. Of course they'll have to change the set list. It will be interesting to see, what they will come up with.

After the intro, I'd imagine something like maybe putting a picture of Charlie on all 4 screens with black background, and Keith walking on stage starting

1. If You Can't Rock Me

then moving into the 2nd and 3rd songs

2. It's Only Rock'n'Roll
3. Tumbling Dice

then, a slow one that would maybe fit

4. Waiting On A Friend

they will probably also want to play their new song pretty early in the set

5. Living In A Ghost Town

no b-stage, I can't imagine the Stones without Charlie walking down there

6. vote song
7. You Can't Always Get What You Want

something emotional could be played in here again. you're just a memory ...

8. Memory Motel

followed by some well known songs

9. Miss You
10. Honky Tonk Woman

now Mick says a few things about Charlie, then introducing the band

11. Slipping Away
12. Little T&A

This section will be interesting, as I don't know if they'd like to play Midnight Rambler without Charlie. They could rahter play another 10min song where many different solos (Mick on harmonica, Karl Denson on Sax, Ronnie on guitar) can try to hide Charlies absense.

13. Can't You Hear Me Knocking

and now they can play the home run

14. Start Me Up
15. Street Fighting Man
16. Paint It Black
17. Sympathy For The Devil
18. Jumping Jack Flash
19. Brown Sugar

off stage

20. Gimme Shelter
21. Satisfaction

This probably isn't too far off.

I think we'll finally see Sympathy as the opener stateside, as it was suggested that Mick was interested in having it as the opener in 2019 prior to having to reschedule the dates (at which point it would not have been dark enough most nights to open with).

Also think that If You Can't Rock Me will be a regular, maybe in the 4 slot.

I think we also will see the B stage be utilized with Steve Jordan remaining on the main stage for the acoustic set.

Outside of that, I think we're also going to see only a 19 song set for the entire tour. In past years, they've started at 20 before reducing to 19 at some point.

13. Can't You Hear Me Knocking

I think they should play Slave. A: With the new reissue of Tattoo You it's a great idea to finally play this live. B: I've got a feeling that Steve Jordan would be amazing here with his feeling. They could jam around this one.
