Bets?

If they ever tour again chances are that Scarlet and Criss Cross won't be in the set lists but Ghost Town would be.

I'll go with that too, Thommie. But my spelling program prefers set list... I tried Stone Age but for some reason blanks weren't accepted...

Sadly in Florida... a 6 year old girl passed away from COvid 19.

I look forward for this press conference.... Let's stay away from politics and hear the Scientists, Researchers, Pharma Execs and their Have their word -

I would love to see them play Plundered My Soul.

What is there to discuss? They have kept the same rotation for the past 5 tours. I don't ever see them playing songs we wished they played....as long as the band is HOT and can still play then that if fine with me. Beating a dead horse.

With the current situation, we would be lucky to see The Rolling Stones live again at all. The set list is not on my mind at all these days. If they ever could do one more show, that is all I wish for.

The above was posted on August 23, 2020, and not sure if Bjornulf still feels the same about all of that, but it still holds true for me.

waiting to see if we're getting tornados today (NE Alabama), a pot of coffee and set-list fantasies on the laptop is about my speed. There are many but I keep it at five I haven't heard live I'd love to see them work into the set should we get to hear them live again:

1. The Last Time (many of you have heard this live, I haven't, and it was THE song that turned me onto them many years ago)
2. Send It To Me (the ending could be a fun groove live)
3. Mona (well, yeah)
4. Mother's Little Helper (the entire crowd joins in on "what a drag it is getting old")
5. Dear Doctor (acappella style with entire band singing, even Charlie)

Snoopy2-NE Alabama is the BEST part of Alabama!
Stay safe and Roll Tide my friend.

The Last Time was great in Chicago 1997 on the Side Stage.
Mother's Little Helper is an odd setlist omission now that you mention it. A lot of us grew up listening to our parent's Hot Rocks on vinyl or 8-Track. For those people the entire Hot Rocks track list are known by heart. Odd that MLH, 19th Nervous Breakdown, Heart of Stone, and Play with Fire weren't/aren't played more live than they are.

A lot of us grew up with Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass), and would be happy for any of those songs. I always hoped for Tell Me.

But the days of setlist variety have passed. We just have to hope there will be more live concerts.

With respect, I saw Play With Fire in Jacksonville in 2019, and I regret to say that it was ........ painful. I'll take the 1989/90 version, but no more, no more.

Funnily enough I did a poll on iorr just over ten years ago - 'Preferred setlist as voted for by a fair few on iorr' 2010....

Around & Around
Out of Time
We love you
Dead Flowers
Tell me
Coming down again, (Mick & Keith)
Child of the moon
Send it to me
You don't have to mean it
Before they make me run
Happy
If you really want to be my friend / Time waits for no one
Fingerprint File
Pretty beat up
Midnight Rambler
Street Fighting Man
Don't wanna go home
The Last time
2000 Light years from home
Jumping Jack Flash

These songs got the most votes, I chose the running order.................

What do you think is a reasonable Wishlist for the setlist for the upcoming tour? Will there be any changes? Addition of possible new songs?

2021 and 2022 non-warhorse setlist predictions

Predictions? Only include songs played less than 400 times.

I feel like While Mick was recovering from Heart surgery he listened to Steel Wheels a lot and as a result we got Sad Sad Sad opening night and I believe once more. Kind of depends on what they listened to during Quarantine. I'll go with Some Goat's Head tracks. I kind of hope they keep the 2 song unplugged set. I bet She's a Rainbow will be played at least once. I wish that the song vote songs would all be non warhorses. Out of Control will probably also appear a few nights.

My prediction: Ronnie is learning all of Brian’s parts and they’ll play the first 6 albums in order (even Route 66 twice). winking smiley

Considering the past year, the current times, the future - age of the band, health, etc., the set list will end with The Last Time, Out of Time, Time Waits For No One, Going Home. As Going Home starts to end, the stadium/arena/theater lights will go dark, there will be a large puff of smoke/fog obscuring the stage, the lights will suddenly blaze back on and the Stones will have disappeared from physical sight. Then, like the projection of the wizard from The Wizard of Oz before Dorothy and gang, images of the Stones will hover over the stage only to gradually fade. One helluva show ending if you think about it.

Well, it’s due. I find it hard to fathom why such a well-known recording has only been performed in concert once since last being a mainstay in 1982. I’m sure it’s been rehearsed: 40 Licks Tour?
