The Worst was a highlight for me each night on the last tour. I’d happily hear it again, along with Connection grinning smiley

I also wish "Coming Down Again" for the set list.
Also, "Citadel", "Winter" and "I Don't Know Why" from Metamorphosis.

I will put forward two alternatives for the upcoming tour. One positive and more plausible:

a) They will finish a new fresh album just in time for the tour and include one, maybe even two,
songs from that album in the setlist. Further more they will skip SMU or JJ Flash for an opener
and instead choose something less predictable. Plus add a couple of less predictable songs in
the setlist. In the end we would have about 2/3 warhorses in
the setlist. Considerably less than the usual one.

b) Just a continuation of the European leg. No new album. The predictable setlist all through.
3/4, or more, warhorses.

I really like the combo of "You Got The Silver" and "Before they Make Me Run." I was quite happy to get "All About You" and "Wanna Hold You" in 1997, too.

As much as I love "Coming Down Again" I don't see it working in a stadium.

"Little T&A" wasn't as good during Bigger Bang as it was in 1981, either.

I'd be happy with anything Keith wants to do, really.

YEAH TRUE .… they all rush to the can-room
for a slash when he plays rockers … so doubt
the same hard-core fans will hang around for Comin Down Again...

" Hey Leroy what's that slow song Keith's playin' ???? "
" Not sure Chuck thinks its maybe off one of the earlier albums like Bridges To Baghdad"

Some of the suggestions here are real nice songs, in their original versions, but could they handle them, live, and in 2019? Winter, Down In The Hole, I Don't Know Why.....I just can't see it.
Songs they might handle; Stoned, Memory Motel and Out Of Time. Row Row Row Your Boat, as well, but I suppose they think it's been perfected by others allready.

These are the ones you will hear whether you like it or not:

Satisfaction, JJ Flash, Brown Sugar, Start Me Up, Miss You, It's Only R&R, Honky Tonk Women, Tumbling Dice,
Gimme Shelter, Midnight Rambler, Sympathy For The Devil, Wild Horses, Before They Make Me Run, Happy,
You Can't Always Get What You Want, Paint It Black, The Worst, Street Fighting Man, You Got Me Rocking.

Pick some of these and your wish will come true!

Well written as these are exactly the tunes the Stones will play. They haven't changed setlists very much during recent tours and won't do, I'm afraid. Sure, there will be the one and another goody, but they'll keep to the warhorses.

Another vote for Loving Cup, Dead Flowers, Sweet Virginia, and Saint of Me.
After listening to San Jose '99 I'm kind of surprised Saint of Me didn't survive in the set list longer than it did.

A lot of these songs are suited to a b-stage arena or small club. They are playing in giant outdoor stadiums. Only the war horses or power filled songs.

Surely they could handle Down in the Hole?
Might not be as good as the studio version, but it's a somewhat simple slow blues tune - not sure how they could totally screw it up, and it shouldn't be a problem.
Hope they play it!

They might get the chords right, yes, but that song needs a special mood, it might sound somewhat off in a stadium and especially played in the vein they so many songs at this point, IMO

I'd like to see them resurrect Black Limousine.
Last time they played it was at Brixton Academy in 1995, and prior to that way back to the '81/'82 tour.
Ronnie would shine brightly, especially considering he had a hand in the writing of it and was given credit.

HarlemShuffle, it is not WIDELY ACCEPTED that Mick " can't sing so well anymore!"....what a ridiculous statement, given the fact that Keith's vocal abilities were always limited at best. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I am one who has always had issues with the number of warhorses on the set lists, given the enormous catalog that they have...and a great many of their songs are rather simplistic, not hard to perform LIVE...it puzzles me why so little effort goes in to pleasing the fans who really KNOW their catalog & are dying for a few " deep cuts". It is due to laziness.....can't be because they REHEARSE some gems that never see the light of day...or night as the case may be. Is it that they were not happy with how these gems sounded in rehearsals? I notice that the shows are streamlined down to barely 2 hours with 19 songs..on a good night. Just bought my ticket for the Foxboro show on June 8th and paid THROUGH THE NOSE for a section 109 seat, opposite the B Stage. Considering the major hassles involved in just getting there because this stadium is a nightmare to get in & out of, and hotel hassles, shuttle service fees etc, I don't think it's too much to ask for less than 12 WAR HORSES! It's NEVER going to happen, I know but it needs to be said that the OLDER FANS also want SATISFACTION.

Songs I would LOVE to hear and that ARE possible:
She's A Rainbow, Shine A Light, Lovin Cup, Ventilator Blues, Moonlight Mile, Play With Fire, Blue Turns To Grey, Monkey Man, Almost Hear You Sigh, Mixed Emotions, Winter, Silver Train, Dancin With Mr D, Slave, Dance Part 1, Under My Thumb, Heart of Stone, 2000 Light Years From Home....and my DREAM SONG, LET IT LOOSE....but THAT is a tough one to sing, I know, so I accept that it won't ever happen!cool smiley
