B&L sold very well, so I expect a max of 2 blues-numbers/gig. If audiences of the first 2-3 gigs reacted bad they would reduce to 1/gig. Plus 16-18 warhorses as usual.

My prediction, concerning the setlist(-s):

loads of whining over here.

But hey; that's all part of the fun, isn't it... smoking smiley

Chances for Angie are better than for two blues numbers, except maybe in the first two shows.

I have come to the conclusion we will never be 100% satisfied with their setlist. My wish is that the music sounds great and not coasting on every song. If the band is hot then the concert will be awesome.

I think SMU up is in F. The hammer-on riff just starts in the C position.

We all know which songs they will definitely play.
But they'll need a new show, so they might just place them somewhere else in the set. And that's just fine by me.

Also with these prices... starting the tour with 21 songs and ending the tour with 18 songs (3 sung by Keith) is out of the question.

I just wish they shorten some songs (BS, Satisfaction, MY, SFTD even MR) so they can play more songs in a two hour set.

Pretty good job, but I could live without the numbers 5, 9, 16-19. 16 please only with KR on lead vocals (and without Lisa or Sasha).

Sorry, 15! Sympathy with KR on lead vocals would be interesting too I think.

Yeah, if you see Ronnie's painted setlists, Start Me Up is in F.

"I think SMU up is in F. The hammer-on riff just starts in the C position."

Of course my bad! And I just realized that they Always do PIB in C#minor nowadays with Keith's tele/strat capoed on the first fret.

So my "theory" goes out the window then! winking smiley

But I still think this would be a cool first 10:

1. Start Me Up
2. Gimme Shelter
3. Paint It Black
4. All Down The Line
5. Star Star (with IORR later on in the final part of the set where it tends to gather more speed and momentum)
6. Beast Of Burden
7. Hoodoo Blues/Commit A Crime/Just Yer Fool/Ride 'Em On Down/Black Limousine
8. Monkey Man/Bitch/Dead Flowers/Heartbreaker/Rocks Off (or any "4 Star" song)
9. Worried About You
10.Tumblin' Dice

IMHO TD is unbeatable as the last song in the first set. It worked real well in 02/03 and 2007 with those yellow and red lights providing a glorius atmosphere.

As Chuck (RIP) croaked this spring I don't think it's too much to ask for two Berry-inspired numbers in the same show.

Maybe they can put Street Fighting Man in the last part of the set? Encore: SFM and Sympathy? Stir it up a bit...

As far as I am aware of they have never ever played a show including Star Star and with Start Me Up as an opener. In 1981 UMT opened up and in 97-98 it was Satisfaction. 2003 it was BS.

Big audiences means big hits, it's as simple as that.
Hamburg might have 1 or 2 songs above average and you might see some surprises in Paris as they play 3 shows over there.
My guess: average 18 songs per show and we're lucky if we see a total of more than 30 different songs played over 14 shows.

Can't wait to see and hear them though...

I would not count on that...they'll do whatever they feel they need to do and the least thing they have in mind is the prices people had to pay for tickets.

20 songs in Hamburg and maybe Munich, then 19, and 18 incl. 3 KR tunes after the laryngitis break.

80 percent warhorses
10 percent semi-warhorses
10 percent new or rare ones

I think they will play one Chuck Berry song. They regularly played a Ray Charles song after he passed away and a James Brown song after he died. Since Mr. Berry was probably the biggest influence and hero they ever had, it would be a big surprise if they didn't honour him in those upcomming shows. And then I thing we will get one song from the Blue and Lonesome

As long as it isn't a YGMR loop I'm happy with everything they feel comfortable with to play...

I would like to see Street Fighting Man find its way back to the opening slot.
It worked really well in 2002-2003.

I don't expect the 12 or 13 big hits that get played at every show to suddenly disappear from the setlist. Maybe shift the order of some of them, though.

For Keith's set, I would like to see The Worst (not played in Europe since 1995) and Little T&A (not played in Europe since 1982).

That leaves 3-4 songs.
Maybe 1 or 2 from Blue & Lonesome?

What else? 1 or 2 of the following in rotation?
Beast Of Burden
Memory Motel
Mixed Emotions
Under My Thumb
Live With Me
Love In Vain
Dead Flowers
Saint Of Me
Monkey Man
Let It Bleed
Shine A Light

Yea, The Worst and Little T&A would be great, but hey, I can hear You Got The Silver again...and again... It is such a great song and Keith performs it so well.

I think this is exactly on target. And we have heard all of those 30 songs since 50 and Counting. As you said: Can't wait to see them! Barcelona and Amsterdam.

That's right. I had forgotten about that one.
I thought, since the song was played at the October 2016 shows, it might stay.
