For info, this has just been posted on the festival website:

"Rolling stones' show : tablets and Go Pro cameras prohibited

At the demand of the Rolling Stones, Go Pro cameras and electronic tablets (iPad and others) will not be accepted on the Plains of Abraham on July 15."

Presumably this doesn't include phones, as it would be impossible to force everyone to check in their phone - but I don't see how an iphone is any less of a 'threat' to the band than an ipad, so not sure.

Anyway, just thought I'd let people know.

i haven't been to a big show in quite a few years, but i'd imagine people holding up their tablets to take vids/photos/periscope would be considerably more annoying to the rest of the audience than phones.

Although audience-directed concern seems unlikely to be the reason for the Stones to apply this rule...

They just jammed on something for a good ten minutes. At first I thought Doom & Gloom but it was something else and I don't think one of the usual warehouses. Too loud around me to make out what it really was.

They played Street Fighting Man twice during soundcheck.

As Crawdaddy pointed out on another thread there is bound to be something special done during tonights show to celebrate the last show of an enormously successful tour. Anybody have any ideas what it's going to be? 2 encores? Special guests? A Charlie drum solo?

Quebec is a beautiful city. Been there on foot and on bike all day.

Emotional evening as this may be the last Rolling Stones concert ever...lets not complain about anything tonight as we mush cherish this moment.

I know. That's how I feel. But can't complain. I had second row 6 seats from the catwalk for the epic show I Buffalo and row 13 on aisle for Kansas City! I'll be in London next Summer - we have to get together - hopefully for a Stones concert!
